Homer Police
Dec. 31
Homer Police at 7:21 a.m went to a report of a vehicle in the ditch. As a result, they arrested a 50-year-old Homer woman for felony driving under the influence and took her to the Homer Jail.
Jan. 6
Police at 7:08 a.m. received a report of a person sleeping in the Homer Post Office. Police arrested a 29-year-old Homer man for six counts of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, five counts of first-degree promoting contraband and fifth-degree criminal mischief. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Jan. 7
Police at 1:27 a.m. made a welfare check on a man. They arrested a 41-year-old Juneau man for third- and fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons and took him to the Homer Jail.
Police at 4:14 p.m. went to a report of a shoplifter detained at a Lake Street store. Police issued a trespass warning to a man.
Jan. 10
Police at 3:32 p.m. went to a report of a car crash on Kachemak Drive with possible injuries. Police and Homer Volunteer Fire Department medics responded. No patients needed transportation to the hospital and the vehicles were towed.
Police at 8:26 p.m. charged a 26-year-old Homer man with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault.
Alaska State Troopers
Jan. 5
Alaska State Troopers at 9:04 a.m. made a traffic stop on a man driving a white Ford Expediton in Seward. Troopers said the driver, a 58-year-old Homer man, drove on a revoked license and had a warrant for failure to appear in court. Troopers arrested him for driving while license revoked and took him to the Seward Jail.
Jan. 6
Troopers at 12:32 a.m. went to a domestic disturbance at a home near Mile 13 East End Road. Troopers arrested one party involved for violating a domestic violence protective order and the other party for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. Both people were taken to the Homer Jail. Alcohol was a contributing factor.
