Homer Police
Oct. 15
Homer Police stopped a vehicle for speeding at 9:54 p.m. They arrested a 27-year-old Portland man for driving under the influence. He was remanded to the Homer Jail.
Homer Police stopped a vehicle at 11:53 p.m. for having no headlights on while crossing a fog line. They arrested a 23-year-old Texas man for driving under the influence. He was remanded to the Homer Jail.
Oct. 17
Homer Police responded to a caller at 11:59 p.m.who said a man was in her yard in a truck. While officers were on the way, the caller called back and reported the man and her husband were fighting. Officers contacted the men and arrested a 64-year-old Homer man for domestic violence-related fourth-degree assault.
A caller at 8:14 p.m. reported seeing an intoxicated man. An officer contacted the man and arrested the 41-year-old man for violating conditions of release.
Oct. 18
Homer Police responded to a caller at 12:39 a.m. who reported his parents were in a physical fight. They arrested a 38-year-old Homer man for domestic violence-related third-degree assault, domestic violence-related fourth-degree assault, and driving under the influence.
Troopers
Oct. 18
At about 8 p.m., Alaska State Troopers contacted a female walking on the Sterling Highway near Mile 155. The trooper believed the female was a 23-year-old Anchor Point woman who had a active warrant for her arrest. The woman gave a false name in an attempt to avoid being arrested on the warrant. She was arrested on the warrant and for giving false information. Further investigation showed she was on conditions of release in a previous criminal case. The woman was remanded into the Homer Jail pending arraignment.
