Anchor Point Fire and Emergency Services

Aug. 31 – Sept. 6

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to three medical calls and one fire call.

Homer Volunteer Fire Department

Aug. 31 – Sept. 6

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to 11 medical calls and four fire calls.

Kachemak Emergency Services

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to three medical calls and one smoke investigation.

Homer Police

Sept. 4

Homer Police responded to the Homer Harbor at 4:58 p.m. for a report of an assault. As a result, they arrested a 30-year-old Homer man for three counts of fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest. The man was remanded to the Homer Jail.

Homer Police made a traffic stop at 11:46 p.m. and, as a result, arrested a 40-year-old Palmer woman for driving under the influence. She was remanded to the Homer Jail.

Sept. 5

Homer Police got a report of a trespasser at 4:32 p.m. Officers arrested a 35-year-old Homer man for criminal trespass.

Troopers

Sept. 1

At 1:08 p.m., Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle on Cape Ninilchik for an equipment violation. An investigation showed the driver, a 46-year-old Anchor Point man, was driving with a suspended license. He was given a summons to appear in court and released.

Sept. 3

At 9:40 a.m., Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle near Mile 150 Sterling Highway after the driver was identified as a 44-year-old Anchor Point woman who was known to have a revoked license. She was found to be driving with a revoked license and was on conditions of release in prior criminal cases. The woman was given a summons to appear in court and released.

Sept. 7

At about 8 p.m., Alaska State Troopers arrested a 34-year-old Anchor Point man at a residence on Birch Haven in Anchor Point. The man was arrested after it was found he was on conditions of release prohibiting him from being at the residence or being in contact with three people at the residence. He was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail pending arraignment.
