Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to six medical calls.

Homer Police

The Homer Police Department switched systems for reporting police calls on April 1 and is currently working on a way to provide the Homer News with a police activity log.

Troopers

April 2

At 8:09 a.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Diamond Ridge Road near Sheep Drive. An investigation showed a 23-year-old Homer woman was negotiating a curve on Diamond Ridge when she slid into the oncoming lane of traffic. She struck an oncoming vehicle head on,causing damage to both vehicles. The other vehicle was driven by a 34-year-old Wasilla man. The Homer woman sustained minor injuries from the crash. She was cited for basic speed.

James S.V. Pearce, 36, fourth-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass.
