An officer at 5:14 a.m. warned a driver for speeding at Mile 172 Sterling Highway.
A caller at 9:59 a.m. reported a possible hazard in a parking lot on East Fairview Avenue. An officer responded and found the report was unfounded.
A man at 1:49 p.m. went to the police station to turn in items he found at Svedlund Street and Pioneer Avenue. The owner was contacted and the items were returned to them.
An officer at 3 p.m. contacted a driver on the Sterling Highway who had a revoked driver’s license. The officer arrested the 22-year-old man and took him to the Homer Jail.
An officer at 4:56 p.m. warned a driver for having expired registration at Rogers Loop and Highland Drive.
A caller at 7:45 p.m. reported seeing an unattended fire in a yard at West Hill Road and Jeffrey Avenue during the burn ban. An officer went to the scene and the fire was put out.
A person at 8 p.m. went to the police station to turn in someone’s property he found on the side of the road on Old Sterling Highway. It was later returned to the owner.
A caller at 9:27 p.m. reported a barking dog and possible animal abuse on Klondike Avenue. An officer went to the scene and forwarded the complaint to the Animal Control Office.
A caller at 9:28 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle on Beluga Place and also reported possible drug information. Officers later contacted the driver and issued them a citation.
An agency at 10:28 p.m. reported they were travelling behind a vehicle that was swerving at varying speeds at Mile 165 Sterling Highway. An officer went to the area.
A caller at 10:30 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle at Pioneer Avenue and Kachemak Way. An officer wasn’t able to locate the vehicle.
Aug. 25
A security company at 12:28 a.m. reported a commercial alarm on Greatland Street. An officer made a check of the area and the owner of the building later called to cancel the police response.
An officer at 12:51 a.m. warned a driver for speeding on Spit Road.
An officer at 1:06 a.m. investigated a disabled vehicle parked on the sidewalk at Soundview Avenue and the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 1:26 a.m. reported loud noise coming from a party on Lake Street. An officer went to the scene and advised the people at the party to keep it down.
An officer at 2:24 p.m. investigated a disabled vehicle at East Hill Road and Larkspur Street, and provided transportation for the driver and passenger to another location.
An officer at 4:36 p.m. contacted a woman on Fish Dock Road and told her about the city rules on camping.
A caller at 5:04 p.m. reported a disturbance on West Bayview Avenue. Officers responded to the location.
A caller at 5:35 p.m. reported that he spotted his stolen bike at Lake Street and Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the area.
A caller at 6:11 p.m. reported an unattended animal on Ocean Drive Loop. An officer went to the area to check.
A caller at 7:42 p.m. reported suspected shoplifters on Homer Bypass Road. Officers went to the location and ended up issuing a 35-year-old man a summons for shoplifting.
A caller at 9:41 p.m. reported suspicious circumstances at a business on Homer Bypass Road. Officers responded to the location.
An officer at 11:55 p.m. investigated a suspicious man on Beluga Place near Bishop’s Beach.
Aug. 26
A caller at 1:14 a.m. reported their spouse was breaking and throwing things inside their home on Mountain View Drive. An officer went to the scene and found no crime had been committed. The people involved were separated for the evening.
An officer at 2:33 a.m. gave a driver multiple citations at Lake Street and the Sterling Highway.
An officer at 4:10 a.m. investigated a vehicle with its door open on Bayview Court. The officer found everything was OK.
An officer at 8:53 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at Soundview Avenue and the Sterling Highway.
An officer at 8:55 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at Pioneer Avenue and Homer Bypass Road.
An officer at 9:01 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at Pioneer Avenue and Homer Bypass Road.
A caller at 9:34 a.m. reported that a driver ran through a flagger’s stop sign at Main Street and Homer Bypass Road. An officer contacted the driver and explained the complaint to them.
A man at 10:05 a.m. went to the police station with an issue of trying to move a vehicle without registration. An officer spoke with the man.
A caller at 1:16 p.m. reported a theft from a parking lot of a business on Spit Road. An officer took a report.
A caller at 3:47 p.m. reported damage to a vehicle on Spit Road. An officer went to the location to take a report.
A caller at 5:05 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle. An officer contacted the driver at Main Street and Homer Bypass Road.
A caller at 5:14 p.m. reported that a moose had been struck by a vehicle on East End Road. An officer went to the area but wasn’t able to locate the vehicle or the moose.
An officer at 7:16 p.m. assisted another agency in the area on the Sterling Highway.
An officer at 10:06 p.m. warned a driver for speeding on Spit Road.
Aug. 27
An officer at 1:25 a.m. contacted people at Bishop’s Beach and advised them of the city ordinance regarding camping.
An officer at 2:02 a.m. assisted with a disabled vehicle at Soundview Avenue and the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 7:57 a.m. reported seeing smoke coming out of a ditch at Ronda Street and East End Road. An officer went to the scene and confirmed there was no fire.
An officer at 8:22 a.m. removed debris from the roadway on Spit Road.
An officer at 8:39 a.m. gave a driver a warning for speeding at Glenview Street and the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 11 a.m. reported an intoxicated person bothering people at the pumps at a gas station on Homer Bypass Road. An officer responded and the woman was trespassed from the area.
A caller at 11:38 a.m. reported an intoxicated woman wondering around a parking lot on Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the scene and ended up arresting the 42-year-old woman for trespassing.
A caller at 12:45 p.m. reported an unattended death at a home on East Hill Road. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 3:50 p.m. reported a domestic disturbance on Elderberry Court. Officers went to the scene. They found no crime had been committed and that it was a verbal disagreement. The man involved left the scene.
A caller at 4:03 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle. An officer contacted the driver at Greatland Street and Pioneer Avenue and didn’t notice any impairment.
An officer at 4:21 p.m. cited a driver for driving with a cancelled license at Pioneer Avenue and Greatland Street.
An officer at 4:39 p.m. made a welfare check on an intoxicated man at Poop Deck Trail and Hazel Avenue, and found everything was OK.
A caller at 5:52 p.m. reported that a man was possible injured at Poopdeck Trail and Hazel Avenue. Officers went to the scene.
A caller at 11:39 p.m. reported a man lying in the roadway on Homer Bypass Road. An officer responded but didn’t find the man.

A caller at 6:13 a.m. reported that they smelled propane in the area of a business on East End Road. Officers went to the location.
An officer at 6:44 a.m. gave a driver a warning for speeding at Mile 172 Sterling Highway.
A caller at 9:37 a.m. reported they had video footage of a person going through a donation bin on Ocean Drive over the weekend. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 12:38 p.m. reported a vehicle collision in a parking lot on the Sterling Highway that had caused damage. An officer went to the location.
A caller at 12:56 p.m. reported that a driver had gone through a flagger’s stop sign at Main Street and Homer Bypass Road. An officer was advised.
A caller at 1:20 p.m. reported getting a shoplifter on video on Lake Street. An officer went to the location.
A caller at 1:42 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle at Mile 167 Sterling Highway. An officer contacted the driver and didn’t detect any impairment.
A caller at 8:11 p.m. was “upset someone was knocking on his door” on Herndon Street. No emergency was noted.
An officer at 10:37 p.m. warned a driver for having an unsafe vehicle at Rogers Loop and the Sterling Highway and warned that it would possibly be impounded if they were found driving it again.
An officer at 11:02 p.m. gave a driver a DUI warning at Spit Road and Freight Dock Road.
Aug. 29
A caller at 7:28 a.m. reported that a student reported being chased by a dog at Mark White Avenue and Early Spring Street. The Animal Control Office was advised.
A caller at 9:42 a.m. reported an intoxicated woman “hanging on customers” at a business on Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the scene and arrested the 42-year-old woman for trespassing and violating conditions of release.
A caller at 4:15 p.m. reported that their purse was stolen on Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the location.
A caller at 4:48 p.m. reported harassment and requested that someone be given a trespass notice to keep them from property on Bay Avenue. Officers contacted the person and gave them a trespass advisement.
A caller at 5:19 p.m. reported speeding vehicles and skateboarders in the roadway at Kachemak Way and Mountain View Drive. An officer went to the area.
An officer at 5:30 p.m. made a security check of Beluga Place near Bishop’s Beach and advised people found there about the laws regarding camping.
Dispatch got an email at 6:46 p.m. regarding a free barbecue in town and forwarded the information to an officer.
An officer at 9:03 p.m. warned a driver for having expired vehicle registration on Spit Road.
A caller at 10:12 p.m. reported people having bonfires on Spit Road during the burn restriction. An officer went to the area and told multiple people to put their fires out.
An officer at 11:14 p.m. arrested a 30-year-old man on an outstanding warrant. The man was charged with fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
Aug. 30
A caller at 9:59 a.m. reported a theft from their yard on Soundview Avenue. An officer took a report.
An agency at 11 a.m. reported suspicious circumstances on Beluga Place near Bishop’s Beach. An officer was notified and followed up on the complaint.
An officer at 12:52 p.m. contacted a man and woman on the Sterling Highway. The 55-year-old man was arrested for driving with his license revoked and the officer warned the woman about trespassing.
An officer at 2:02 p.m. assisted the Alaska State Troopers at Mile 169 Sterling Highway.
A caller at 2:25 p.m. reported a disturbance on Fish Dock Road. Officers went to the scene and advised a woman there to move along.
An officer at 3:10 p.m. gave a person a court summons on Heath Street.
An officer at 3:51 p.m. attempted to locate a person on Spit Road as part of an agency assist, but weren’t able to find the person.
A caller at 8:25 p.m. had questions about harassment and retaliation and spoke with an officer.
An officer at 9:49 p.m. arrested a 27-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant and a 31-year-old man for hindering prosecution, on the Sterling Highway. The vehicle was impounded and a search warrant was applied for.
An officer at 10:55 p.m. warned a driver for failing to come to a complete stop at Spit Road and FAA Road.
Aug. 31
A caller at 2:36 a.m. requested a welfare check be made on a person kneeling in a parking lot at Spit Road and Kachemak Drive. An officer round everything was OK.
An officer at 4:40 a.m. conducted a search per a search warrant on Heath Street.
An alarm company at 11:46 a.m. reported a commercial burglary alarm on Hohe Street. An officer went to the location and left a message for the building owner. It turned out to be a false alarm.
A caller at 12:14 p.m. reported a man going through his vehicle on Lakeside Drive. Officers went to the location. The man had fled before they arrived.
Alaska State Troopers at 12:47 p.m. requested that Homer officers be on the lookout for a stolen vehicle in the Homer area. Officers weren’t able to locate it.
A caller at 1:18 p.m. reported a stolen vehicle on Pennock Street. The vehicle was later recovered and the owner was notified.
A caller at 3:22 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle at Lake Street and East End Road. An officer contacted the driver and gave them a citation for having expired vehicle registration, but the officer didn’t note any impairment.
A caller at 3:52 p.m. reported seeing a stolen vehicle parked at a business on Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 8:35 p.m. reported an intoxicated woman assaulting him on Klondike Avenue. Officers went to the scene and arrested the 47-year-old woman for assault and resisting arrest.
A caller at 9:30 p.m. reported third-hand information about a woman causing a disturbance on the beach on Kachemak Drive. Officers went to the area, gave the woman a disorderly conduct warning and advised her to move along.
An officer at 10:18 p.m. warned a driver for having expired vehicle registration at Lake Street and Homer Bypass Road.
A caller at 10:26 p.m. requested that an officer patrol Karen Hornaday Park Campground due to suspicious people loitering in the area. An officer went to the area.
