A caller at 1:15 a.m. reported loud music coming from a neighboring home on Mariner Drive. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 3:36 a.m. reported possible solicitation of prostitution on Spit Road. An officer went to the scene and found that report was unfounded.
A caller at 3:55 a.m. reported a man “passed out” on the sidewalk at Fairview Avenue and Mullikin Street. An officer responded but the man was gone when the officer arrived.
A caller at 12:49 p.m. requested assistance checking on his friend in the Homer area who he had not heard from in three days. An officer contacted the friend and found everything was OK.
A caller at 5:45 p.m. reported a vehicle collision on Lakeshore Drive that had caused damage. Both parties had left the scene.
An officer at 6:32 p.m. contacted a man at Beluga Place and Charles Way who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The 50-year-old man attempted to elude the officer and was arrested for resisting arrest, two counts of trespassing and five counts of violating conditions of release.
A caller at 7:14 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle on Homer Bypass Road. An officer contacted the driver and discovered it was due to a mechanical issue with the vehicle.
A caller at 9:27 p.m. reported that a puppy in the area of Fairview Avenue and Wright Street was howling and crying. The Animal Control Office was notified.
Dispatch got a 911 call at 9:29 p.m. and heard an “active disturbance” in the background. An officer responded to Mountainview Drive and contacted the people involved. The officer found no crime had been committed.
A caller at 10:49 p.m. made a REDDI report on a driver passing on a double yellow line. An officer contacted the possible driver at Lake Street and Brown Bear Loop.
A caller at 11:25 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle at East Hill Road and South Slope Road. An officer wasn’t able to locate the driver.
July 6
A caller at A caller at 12:15 a.m. reported a notice disturbance at a neighboring home on Kachemak Drive. An officer went to the scene and contacted the people involved, who said they would keep the noise to a minimum.
A caller at 4:06 a.m. reported a domestic issue with a family member on Main Street. An officer went to the scene and a 24-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
A caller at 7:15 a.m. reported suspicious activity in public bathrooms at Pioneer Avenue and Bartlett Street. An officer went to the location.
An alarm was reported at a home on Highland Drive at 8:25 a.m. An officer responded.
A caller at 4:01 p.m. reported a truck towing a trailer losing debris onto the roadway in the area of Pioneer Avenue and Lake Street. An officer went to the area and attempted to contact the driver.
A caller at 8:31 p.m. reported a civil issue on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer responded and ended up arresting a 25-year-old man for criminal mischief.
A caller at 9:30 p.m. reported barking dogs that were tied to a picnic bench on Spit Road. An officer was advised and the owner of the dogs was later located.
July 7
A security company at 12:03 a.m. reported a commercial alarm on Greatland Street. An officer went to the scene and found the building was secure. The officer contacted the building’s keyholder who came to the scene.
Alaska State Troopers at 1:30 a.m. passed along a report regarding a flare on Walter Thomas Road. An officer went to the area but didn’t notice anything unusual happening.
A caller at 1:53 a.m. made a REDDI report on a driver on East Pioneer Avenue. The 24-year-old suspect was later contacted by police and arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
A caller at 5 a.m. requested a welfare check on an intoxicated spouse on Spit Road. An officer went to the scene and issued two men disorderly conduct warnings.
An officer at 11:45 a.m. attempted to issue a warrant at Skyline Drive and Cozy Cove Drive but wasn’t able to locate the person it was for.
A caller at 2:02 p.m. reported a dog left in a vehicle on Spit Road. The dog was removed from the vehicle.
Alaska State Troopers at 5:03 p.m. requested assistance for a vehicle collision outside of the Homer Police service area with multiple victims. Officers went to South Peninsula Hospital to follow up with victims.
A caller at 6:09 p.m. reported an intoxicated man was harassing him on Spit Road. An officer responded to the location.
An officer at 7:44 p.m. provided next-of-kin notification on Kachemak Way.
An officer at 7:49 p.m. responded to a disturbance on Spit Road.
A caller at 10:14 p.m. requested a welfare check on a person on Herndon Drive. An officer went to the area.
Officers made a check of property on Carter Drive for a man with with an arrest warrant. They were unable to locate him.
A caller at 10:18 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle passing unsafely at Tall Tree Avenue and the Sterling Highway. An officer and Alaska State Troopers were advised. An officer later contacted the driver and didn’t detect any impairment.
An agency at 11 p.m. reported suspicious people at the Homer Harbor on Freight Dock Road. An officer went to the scene and found everything was OK.

A caller at 1:46 a.m. reported an alarm on Ohlson Lane. An officer went to the area but didn’t locate any alarm. All businesses in the area were found to be secure.
An agency at 5:05 a.m. requested a welfare check on a home on Mountainview Drive. An officer went to the scene but didn’t find the person the welfare check was for.
A security company at 5:33 a.m. reported a business alarm on Ocean Drive. An officer went to the scene but found everything was OK and it was a false alarm.
A caller at 8:58 a.m. reported a child locked inside a vehicle on Rangeview Avenue. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 9:35 a.m. reported they had gotten a call in reference to someone needing help on Mountainview Drive. An officer went to the location.

A caller at 3:41 a.m. reported a man attempting to enter an RV on Spit Road. An officer went to the area when one became available and didn’t locate a suspect.
A caller at 3:42 a.m. reported a medical emergency on Ocean Drive Loop. Officers and medics responded to the scene.
An alarm company at 9:41 a.m. reported an active burglar alarm on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the scene.
Alaska State Troopers passed on a REDDI report on a vehicle at 11:25 a.m. An officer contacted the driver at Homer Bypass Road and Pioneer Avenue. The officer didn’t detect any impairment.
An officer at 2:16 p.m. pulled over a vehicle for speeding at Hunter Street and the Sterling Highway. The driver, a 30-year-old man, was arrested for improper use of registration, driving with his license suspended, revoked or canceled, and two counts of violating conditions of release.
A caller at 4:12 p.m. requested that a welfare check be made on a neighbor on Main Street. An officer went to the scene and one woman ended up being taken to Haven House.
A caller at 5:57 p.m. requested a patrol of their area on Skyline Drive. An officer went to the area and located all the people there.
A caller at 7:10 p.m. requested that an officer do a security check on their apartment on Main Street. An officer met the caller at the location and obliged.
An officer at 8 p.m. served a domestic violence protective order on Race Road.
July 10
A caller at 1:28 a.m. reported a woman at a local business on Lake Street having a mental health issue. An officer and medics went to the scene to contact the woman.
An officer at 3:57 a.m. advised people on Homer Bypass Road about camping ordinances.
A caller at 10:41 a.m. reported a vehicle violating camping rules at Karen Hornaday Park and not paying the fees. An officer was advised but the vehicle was gone when the officer arrived.
A caller at 12:42 p.m. reported a driver in a vehicle with children who were not restrained on Ben Walters Lane. An officer went to the area and spoke with the driver.
A caller at 12:48 p.m. reported a collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist at East Hill Road and East End Road that caused an injury. An officer and medics went to the scene.
A person at 5:50 p.m. went to the police station to report littering on FAA Road. An officer took a report.
A caller at 6:20 p.m. reported an ongoing issue with a barking dog on Ben Walters Lane. An officer went to the location and contacted the dog’s owners.

A caller at 1 a.m. reported a theft from a vehicle on Pioneer Avenue. An officer spoke with the caller.
An officer at 2:58 a.m. contacted the people responsible for a campfire on Spit Road.
A caller at 4:51 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle at Main Street and Bunnell Avenue. Officers went to the area.
A caller at 11:04 a.m. reported a possibly abandoned vehicle on Freight Dock Road. The owner of the vehicle was contacted.
A caller at 2:24 p.m. requested officer assistance with something on Lake Street. An officer responded to the area.
A caller at 3:16 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle at Lake Street and Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the location but didn’t find the driver.
A woman went to the police station at 3:12 p.m. to report a civil issue. The woman was advised about her options.

A caller at 7:57 p.m. reported shoplifters on Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the scene and the people were gone when the officer got there. The officer later located them and issued them trespassing advisements.
A caller at 8:18 p.m. reported multiple campfires during a burn ban at a campground on Spit Road. An officer contacted the campground.
July 12
A person at 9:05 a.m. went to the police station to report a trespassing issue on Kachemak Drive. An officer took a report and was to follow up.
A caller at 11:37 a.m. requested a welfare check be made on an animal inside of a motorhome on Kachemak Drive. An officer went to the location and contacted the motorhome owners.
A caller at 12:41 p.m. reported a theft from a vehicle on West Fairview Avenue. An officer responded to the location and took a report.
A caller at 12:50 p.m. reported a vehicle collision in a parking lot on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer spoke with the caller and took a report.
A caller at 1:31 p.m. requested a welfare check be made on unattended children in a vehicle on Homer Bypass Road. Officers went to the location and made contact with the parents.
Officers at 2:34 p.m. assisted another agency and arrested a 37-year-old woman at the Homer Harbor on a warrant for failing to appear in court.
Troopers
July 1
Three Homer men aged 59, 23 and 18 were cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers during the Bristol Bay Salmon Program for Commercial Fish Closed Waters in the North Boundary Egegik District. Arraignment was scheduled in Naknek District Court on July 17.
July 4
A 39-year-old Homer man was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers during the Bristol Bay Salmon Program for commercial fishing in closed waters in the Nushagak District. Arraignment was scheduled in Dillingham District Court on July 15.
July 8
An 18-year-old Homer man was cited by the Valdez Wildlife Troopers for operating a commercial salmon drift gillnet within the allowable distance of a commercial salmon set gillnet in the Eshamy District. Arraignment was scheduled in the Cordova Court for Aug. 28.
July 10
A 38-year-old Homer man was issued a citation by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Kodiak Post, for failure to register his seine skiff. Bail is set at $70 in the Kodiak Courts.
