June 12

A caller at 2:30 p.m. reported an intoxicated woman in the area of Waddell Street. The caller said she had moved on. Officers arrested that 41-year-old woman for trespassing and for making a false report.

A caller at 3:10 p.m. requested that officers take a person on Bartlett Street into protective custody. Officers responded and took the person to the Homer Jail.

A caller at 8:06 p.m. reported a suspicious man sitting in a vehicle on Homer Spit Road. An officer contacted the man and didn’t find any evidence of criminal activity.

A caller at 9:32 p.m. reported people at Bishop’s Beach drinking and harassing people. An officer went to the area but didn’t find the group.

A caller at 8:50 p.m. reported a woman yelling/cursing at a child at Danview Avenue and Main Street. An officer went to the area.

An officer at 9:25 p.m. served an arrest warrant on Spit Road.

A caller at 10:07 p.m. reported a single vehicle accident on the Sterling Highway. Officers and medics went to the scene.

An officer at 4:53 p.m. gave a driver a citation for driving with their license suspended at Pioneer Avenue and Lake Street.

A caller at 6:08 p.m. reported a domestic dispute on Linda Court. The caller said the people involved were separated. An officer went to the scene.

June 15

A caller at 2:51 p.m. reported a disturbance on Spit Road. Officers went to the location and placed a woman in protective custody. She was placed in the care of South Peninsula Hospital.

A caller at 4:28 p.m. reported a truck speeding in the area of Ocean Drive Loop. An officer went to the scene but wasn’t able to find the truck.

A caller at 7:28 p.m. requested that a welfare check be made on an upset woman walking on Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the area and the woman refused officer assistance.

A caller at 9:55 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle on Homer Bypass Road. An officer contacted the driver and arrested the 61-year-old man for driving under the influence.

A caller at 10:34 p.m. reported a man trespassing on private property on Ocean Drive Loop. An officer went to the location and advised the man to move along.

A caller at 1:29 a.m. requested that a welfare check be made on a man on East End Road. An officer contacted the man and a taxi was called for him.

A caller at 6 a.m. reported a man trespassing on Ocean Drive Loop. An officer responded to the area.

A business alarm was reported on Kachemak Drive at 9:23 a.m. An officer went to the location and found it was a false alarm.

A caller at 11:42 a.m. reported they found a dog at Forest Glen Drive and Poppy Circle. An officer went to the area.

Officers at 1:18 p.m. arrested a 38-year-old man on Hazel Street on a warrant for failing to appear in court.

A caller at 5:12 p.m. reported a person possibly giving alcohol to minors on East Pioneer Avenue. Officers went to the location but didn’t find the person in question.

An alarm company at 5:17 p.m. reported a burglary alarm at a home on West Tasmania Court. An officer went to the location.

A caller at 5:48 p.m. made a REDDI report on a motorcycle on Spit Road. An officer went to the area but didn’t find the motorcycle.

A caller at 6:15 p.m. reported a barking dog on Tamara Street. An officer went to the location.

A caller at 8:23 p.m. reported a man with a possible parole violation on West Danview Avenue. Officers attempted to find the person.

An officer at 10:44 p.m. gave a driver a DUI warning on Spit Road. Another person in the vehicle drove it from the scene.

A caller at 11:57 p.m. requested extra patrols of an area of Spit Road for possible drug activity. An officer responded to the area.

A caller at 10:43 a.m. reported a vehicle parked in a staff parking lot on Lake Street. An officer went to the area.

A caller at 6:45 p.m. reported a dog had killed their chickens on their property on the Sterling Highway. The caller took the dog to the animal shelter. An officer met the person there and lodged the dog in the shelter.

A caller at 7:08 p.m. reported a man “passed out” in a vehicle while it was running on Spit Road. Officers went to the area to make a welfare check.

An officer at 10:13 p.m. contacted a driver who was misusing plates at McLay Road and East End Road.

A caller at 11:59 p.m. reported a man trespassing in her apartment on West Hill Road and that he wouldn’t leave. An officer responded.

June 18

A caller at 2:24 a.m. reported a person lying in the roadway on East End Road and requested a welfare check for them. An officer responded to the area.

A caller at 11:06 a.m. requested a welfare check be made on Main Street. An officer went to the area but didn’t find the person the check was for.

A man at 1:48 p.m. went to the police station and reported “horrible road conditions” on East Hill Road. The proper agency was advised.

A caller at 3:49 p.m. reported theft on East Fairview Avenue. It’s under investigation.

A caller at 7:04 p.m. requested that officer issue a man a trespass notice to keep him from property on Spit Road. An officer took a report.

A caller at 7:07 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on Kachemak Drive with people there attempting to extricate a person from the vehicle. Officers went to the area.

A caller at 8:13 p.m. requested that officers come to a home on East End Road to remove an adult daughter who was causing a disturbance. Officers went to the scene.

A caller at 9:27 p.m. reported a suspicious man on a boat on Spit Road. An officer went to the area.

June 19

A caller at 1:12 a.m. requested a welfare check be made on a woman at Main Street and Bayview Avenue. An officer went to the area.

A caller at 4:24 a.m. reported a security alarm on West Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the location.

A man at 7:10 a.m. went to the police station to report an assault after the fact that had happened on FAA Road. An officer spoke with the man.

An alarm was reported at a local business on Ocean Drive at 8:01 a.m. An officer went to the scene and found it was a false alarm, and that everything was OK.

A caller at 11:15 a.m. reported a stolen vehicle on the Sterling Highway. An officer spoke with the caller and determined that it was a civil issue.

A caller at 2:35 p.m. reported finding a small child alone in the roadway at Cityview Avenue and Main Street. Officers responded and the child was reunited with their parent.

An officer at 10:17 p.m. served a domestic violence protective order on a person at April Place.

June 20

An officer at 3:48 a.m. made a security check on Spit Road and arrested a 50-year-old man for theft and for violating conditions of release.

A caller at 8:22 a.m. reported seeing something suspicious at Hazel Avenue and Poop Deck Trail. An officer responded and found it was a person sleeping. The officer told the person to move on.

A caller at 9:18 a.m. requested that a welfare check be made on a person in the Homer area. An officer saw the person in question and found everything was OK.

A caller at 9:18 a.m. reported that a car alarm kept going off on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the area and contacted the vehicle’s owner, who said they would take care of it.

A caller at 10:51 a.m. requested officer assistance on Homer Bypass Road in reference to a damaged safety deposit box. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 11:24 a.m. reported a medical emergency. The caller pulled over at East End Road and Spencer Drive. An officer and medics went to the scene.

Several callers at 12:02 p.m. reported a person lying on the ground on the sidewalk at Grubstake Avenue and Lake Street. An officer went to the area.

An officer at 12:20 p.m. provided assistance at the Homer Harbor.

A caller at 1:22 p.m. requested that a welfare check be made on a person in a parking lot on Greatland Street. An officer went to the area but the vehicle was already gone.

An officer at 1:41 p.m. assisted a mental health patient with transportation on Main Street.

An officer at 6:08 p.m. took a report of fuel theft on Homer Bypass Road.

An officer at 8:06 p.m. attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Soundview Avenue but wasn’t able to locate the person.

June 21

An officer at 4:34 a.m. assisted medics with a call on Flynn Street.

Alaska State Troopers at 9:33 a.m. requested assistance with a REDDI report at Mile 164 Sterling Highway. An officer contacted the vehicle but didn’t detect any impairment.

An officer at 9:40 a.m. issued a parking warning at Calhoun Street and Nielson Circle.

Troopers

June 21

Alaska State Troopers at approximately 6:50 p.m. received a report about a domestic disturbance at a residence in the community of Nikolaevsk. Troopers responded and subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old Homer man for one count of driving under the influence and one count of fourth-degree domestic violence-related assault. The man was transported to the Homer Jail for remand.

June 22

Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a 60-year-old Homer man a $220 bailable citation for sport fishing King Salmon without having a king salmon stamp in possession. The man was contacted fishing for king salmon in the Nick Dudiak Lagoon.

June 23

Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a 20-year-old Fishkill, New York man a $120 bailable citation for failing to log a king salmon on his nonresident sport fishing license. The man was contacted sport fishing in the Nick Dudiak Lagoon.
