Concert on the Lawn returns for a sunny day of music and dance

Homer’s KBBI annual Concert on the Lawn returned to Karen Hornaday Park on Saturday with about 350 people attending the sunny event.

Five musical groups and one solo musician performed in six acts at the event. Jon Crocker started the show. The groups that followed included Ayden See and the Good Companies; The Wet Spots; English Bay Band; Cosmic Creature Club; and the Roland Roberts Band. The English Bay Band is from Nanwalek and the Roland Roberts Band is from Anchorage; the others are local.

Food was provided by food trucks Shiva Boom Falafelz, Dolce Lucca, Felice’s Follys, Siren Seafood and KBay Kettlecorn. Several other booths from local organizations and business were available for audiences to browse. A beer garden was run by KBBI volunteers with beverages from local breweries, meaderies and wineries.

The day’s event was aired on KBBI for those who couldn’t attend in person.
