BEST ANNUAL ROTARY HEALTH FAIR BET: The 41st Annual Rotary Health Fair is happening on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the lower level of Christian Community Church. BEST ARTIST IN SCHOOLS TRAINING BET: Bunnell Street Arts Center presents a virtual Teaching Artist Training Academy, available through November, to Alaska artists and schools looking to learn more about the Artist in Schools program. Four virtual Tuesday sessions will be held on Nov. 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 6-8 p.m. Participants will gain insight and tools to present Artist in Schools, a trademark program by the Alaska State Council on the Arts throughout Alaska. BEST RECOVERY PEER SUPPORT GROUP BET: Kachemak Bay Recovery Connection hosts a Family Peer Support Group every Sunday at 5 p.m. throughout November. If you have a family member, friend, or other loved one struggling with addiction, come join others who are facing the same circumstances. You may share your experience or listen to how others cope with similar situations. BEST NUTCRACKER FAIRE BET: Registration is open for vendors wanting to sell their wares at this year’s Nutcracker Faire! The 2024 Nutcracker Faire will be held Dec. 7-8 in the Homer High School commons and gym. All Kenai Peninsula vendors with locally-made products are welcome to apply for a space!
