BEST COMMUNITY THEATRE BET: Pier One Theatre presents “Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical,” based on an early film by Trey Parker that tells the story of Alfred Packer, the only person in America to be convicted of cannibalism. The sole survivor of an ill-fated trip to the Colorado Territory, Parker tells his side of the tale to news reporter Polly Pry as he awaits his execution. The local version of this story includes a belly-dancing horse, dancing snowmen, time traveling hippies and toe-tapping songs.
