The Omicron Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma holds its annual Back to School Supplies Project this month. Help local children in need start their school year on a positive note by purchasing school supplies and backpacks for them. Contributions can be left in the brightly colored receptacle inside Ulmer’s Drug and Hardware. Shopping lists are on the donation container. The program benefits more than 100 children.

The Boat House Committee seeks to raise $33,000 before the end of August. By reaching that goal, the committee can leverage an additional $25,000 from the Rasmuson Foundation and reaching it $210,000 project total. Anchor Point Senior Citizens

The Anchor Point Senior Center on Milo Fritz Road is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon Friday. The center serves Thursday night dinners starting at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Homer Senior Citizens lunch is open to seniors and guests and is served noon-1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
