The Small Business Administration offers low-interest federal disaster loans for residents and businesses affected by the storm that caused high winds and flooding Sept. 15-30. A Disaster Loan Outreach Center is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday at the Anchor Point Fire Station, 72440 Milo Fritz Road, Anchor Point. No appointment is necessary. Loans are available to home-owners, renters, businesses of all sizes and nonprofit organizations. Representatives will be at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center to issue loan applications, answer questions about the program, explain the application process and help people complete applications. MAPP of the Southern Kenai Peninsula, the local collaborative for community health improvement, is conducting its second Community Health Needs Assessment through March 2013. The first part of the assessment includes a community perceptions survey that gives community members the opportunity to highlight the community’s strengths and needs.
