A hearing held Oct. 8 has been continued to Oct. 29 in the case of Anthony and Joseph Resetarits, two brothers charged with second-degree assault at a September 2012 teen drinking party. Anthony Resetarits, 21, and Joseph Resetarits, 19, are alleged to have assaulted with an object a teenage boy. A Kenai Grand Jury indicted them on Sept. 20.
At the Oct. 8 hearing at the Kenai Courthouse with Judge Anna Moran, Joseph Resetarits withdrew his attorney, Michael Moberly, and asked for a court-appointed attorney. Moran determined he made $30,000-40,000 commercial fishing and thus would have to hire his own lawyer. The hearing was continued to give Joseph Resetarits time to hire representation. The hearing is 2:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Kenai Courthouse.
