Krystal Sims and
Joey Evensen

Joey Evensen eloped with Krystal Sims in December in Houston, Texas. Joey’s longtime friend, Rev. Raymond Price, led the southern ceremony dressed in an all-purple suit.

Krystal is the daughter of Jan Sims of Hillsboro, Texas, and is an elementary teacher with degrees from Stephen F. Austin University and University of North Texas. Joey is the son of Deb Evensen of Diamond Ridge, and is a geologist with degrees from Kenai Peninsula College, Homer, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Colorado School of Mines and the University of Oklahoma.

A reception will take place at their home in Houston on Feb. 25, 2017. They plan to reside in Homer.
