June 14
A woman at 6:21 p.m. made a 911 call saying her husband called her asking her for help. Police contacted the husband at the harbor who said all was OK and that he had been fishing.
Police at 10:54 p.m. contacted a 27-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and issued him a summons for not having motor vehicle liability insurance.
Police at 11:28 p.m. contacted a 48-year-old woman driving on East End Road and arrested her for driving while license suspended.
A woman at 1:38 p.m. reported smelling smoke in the Soundview Avenue area. Police responded and did not see any fire or smoke.
A caller at 2:05 p.m. reported gas caps had been tampered with and were lying on the ground near cars parked off Kachemak Drive. A man at 11:25 a.m. and another caller at 4:20 p.m. June 16 also reported someone had tampered with gas caps.
June 15
A man at 8:26 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Ternview Place home. Police responded and issued a trespass notice to a woman.
A woman at 9:40 p.m. reported a dispute over a car on Beluga Circle. Police responded.
June 16
Police at 12:27 a.m. issued a disorderly conduct warning to a driver for spinning brodies on the Homer Spit.
A woman at 12:50 a.m. reported a civil issue. Police advised options and issued a trespass notice to a man from a residence.
Police at 2:14 a.m. arrested a 64-year-old man for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test after contacting him on East End Road.
A woman at 5:45 a.m. reported someone opening the door to an apartment and loud noise coming from a nearby apartment on Ocean Drive Loop. Police responded and issued a noise warning.
An off-duty police officer and numerous other people at 2:02 p.m. made 911 calls of a wildland fire in the Alan Street area. Police and firefighters responded.
June 17
Police at 1:08 a.m. found a bicycle on Soundview Avenue.
A man at 1:45 a.m. came to the police station saying a woman would not leave his car. Police arrested a 24-year-old woman for resisting arrest, trespassing, fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
A man at 11:41 a.m. reported theft of a money order sent to Africa. Police advised the man of his options.
A caller at 2:20 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man at a Sterling Highway address. Police contacted the man and determined all was OK. He was resting in the sunshine.
A woman at 5 p.m. reported a bike theft from a Mullikin Street address.
A man at 9:07 p.m. reported an assault at a Fairview Avenue address. Police responded but could not locate the suspect.
A man at 10:30 p.m. reported information about a broken key.
A man at 11:03 p.m. reported a woman entered his Klondike Avenue home without his permission. Police responded.
A man at 11:50 p.m. reported a person operating loud machinery in the Ternview Place area. Police responded and issued a disorderly conduct warning.
June 18
Police at 4:57 a.m. issued a summons to a 46-year-old man for driving while license suspended.
A man at 10:15 a.m. reported a dog running loose and threatening children in the Sprucewood Avenue area.
A man at 1:01 p.m. reported a driver passing on the Spit at a high rate of speed. Police could not located the suspect car.
A caller at 1:28 p.m. reported a suspicious duffle bag at a Lake Street address. Police found nothing suspicious.
Several people at 2:58 p.m. made 911 calls of a hit-and-run crash on East End Road. Police responded and contacted a suspect driver and issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident to a 52-year-old man.
Police at 4:30 p.m. received a report of an overturned skiff in Kachemak Bay. Police notified Alaska State Troopers and the U.S. Coast Guard.
A man at 6:14 p.m. reported a person firing a gun at birds in city limits. Police contacted the suspect and advised the person of city ordinances prohibiting shooting firearms in the city.
Police at 10:03 p.m. received a 911 call with an open line and a disturbance heard in the background. Police went to a Fairview Avenue address and determined the incident was verbal only and did not rise to the level of a crime.
A caller at 10:42 p.m. reported a physical altercation on the Spit. Police warned the subjects for disorderly conduct.
A man at 11:15 p.m. reported a man camping out at the Homer Post Office. Police responded and told the person to relocate.
June 19
A man at 7:33 a.m. reported a burglary at the Karen Hornaday Park.
A caller at 12:02 p.m. reported a driver in a flatbed truck driving recklessly and forcing other drivers off the road on Kachemak Drive.
Police at 9:01 p.m. arrested a 27-year-old man for violating conditions of release.
A man at 9:28 p.m. reported a car without plates at Bishop’s Beach.
June 20
Several callers at 12:17 a.m. reported four juveniles causing a disturbance in the road on East End Road. Police responded and told the children to go home.
