May 15
A caller at 9:16 a.m. reported harassment at a public function that happened earlier.
A caller at 11:34 a.m. reported losing a piece of construction equipment out the back of a vehicle.
Police at 11:40 a.m. assisted medics at Bishop’s Beach.
A caller at 1:28 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a woman. Police put out a “be on the lookout” notice for the woman’s vehicle.
Police at 1:43 p.m. assisted medics in responding to an incident at a Main Street address.
A caller at 6:07 p.m. reported dogs inside her chicken coop on Whispering Meadows Avenue.
Several callers at 7:15 p.m. reported a newborn moose calf and cow walking in the middle of East End Road near East HIll Road with traffic backing up. Police contacted the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and also responded, but the moose were gone when police arrived.
A caller at 9:43 p.m. asked police to issue a trespass notice to a person from a Sterling Highway business. Police contacted a man and advised him of the trespass.
Police at 10:20 p.m. issued a warning for indecent exposure to a person for urinating on the sidewalk on Grubstake Avenue.
May 16
A caller at 11:11 a.m. came by the police station with questions about a civil issue.
A caller at 1:15 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint. Police contacted the suspect driver on Main Street and issued the driver a warning for driving under the influence. Police called a cab for the driver.
A caller at 11:07 p.m. reported a man sleeping in a public building on Heath Street. Police responded and arrested the man on an unrelated incident.
May 17
A person at 8:04 a.m. turned in a found passport at the station.
A person at 1:26 p.m. made a 911 call that a woman refused to leave a Lake Street address and caused a disturbance. Police responded but could not find the woman.
A caller at 3:49 p.m. reported suspicioius circumstances.
A caller at 8:05 p.m. reported misplaced keys.
A person at 10:03 p.m. made a 911 call of a REDDI driver on the Spit. Police stopped the suspect driver and arrested a 24-year-old man for DUI.
May 18
A person at 12:06 a.m. made a 911 call that people used drugs in the common area of a Lee Drive apartment complex. Police contacted a suspect and determined the report was unfounded. Police also issued a warning for weapons misconduct.
A caller at 11:05 a.m. reported a woman acted strangely at a Ben Walters Lane address. Police contacted the woman and determined all was OK.
A person at 12:42 p.m. made a 911 call of an unconscious man at Ramp 8 on the Spit. Police and medics responded and found other people had administered CPR and revived the man.
A caller 6:21 p.m. reported a drunk man sleeping at a Sterling Highway business. Police responded and issued a 45-year-old man a summons for second-degree criminal trespassing.
A caller at 6:57 p.m. reported property stolen from a Lake Street business.
A woman at 8:15 p.m. flagged down an officer on the Spit and reported a drunk man.
A caller at 9:53 p.m reported the theft of signs from a Melody Rose Lane yard.
May 19
A caller at 5:59 a.m. reported a suspicious man on the side of West Hill Road.
Troopers
May 16
Alaska State Troopers at 3:53 p.m. stopped a 26-year-old Homer man driving a van near Mile 83 Sterling Highway near Sterling after troopers said the man failed to stop for a school bus with its red lights flashing. Troopers cited the man for failure to stop for a school bus.
May 17
Troopers at 10:30 a.m. went to a Nikloaevsk home for a report of a disturbance. Troopers said a 41-year-old Nikolaevsk man had assaulted a family member. When troopers responded, troopers said the man also threatened to hit them with a metal pipe. Troopers arrested the man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, disorderly conduct and third-degree assault on a police officer.
May 21
Troopers received a report from a Ninilchik man that a a .30-06 rifle had been stolen from his residence in Ninilchik about three months ago. The man reported the rifle had been at his residence during a time he was away and when he returned he found the weapon gone.

Stephen E. Smith, 62, charge dismissed, violation of custodian duty.
Chad T. Kuryla, 47, charge dismissed — no true bill in grand jury investigation, third-degree assault.
Emily M. Harmon, 45, pleaded guilty to violating a domestic violence protective order. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered not to have contact with her victim; and was placed on probation for one year.
Anatoly A. Kojin, 31, Anchor Point, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $5,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 270 days in jail with 210 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $2,000 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for three years; ordered to assign his Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend to fines; and was placed on probation for two years. He also pleaded guilty to third-degree theft and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended.
