The public is invited to a fun day of golf and lunch in support of Hospice of Homer. The sixth annual Holes “Fore” Hospice golf tournament will be Saturday, June 6, at TIPS Golf Course.  It is located at 57172 East End Road.

Early entry fees are $ 55 per person and includes18 holes of golf, lunch and range balls. Early registration can be made at the Hospice of Homer office, 265 E. Pioneer Ave. Suite 3 or at the TIPS Golf Course. Registration on the day of the event at the course is $65 and starts at 8 a.m. The tournament begins at 9 a.m.

The 18 Hole Scramble format will be fun for experienced and novice golfers alike, say organizers. There will be a closest to the pin event starting at 8:30 a.m. After the 18 Hole Scramble is completed, lunch will be served and tournament awards will be presented. This year community members and businesses will again have the opportunity to sponsor individual holes and putting greens. The tournament will combine the love of golf and the willingness to support Hospice of Homer. 

“Warm sunshine/no rain is the event mantra. Hope you can attend,” organizers said in a press release.

The public also is invited to celebrate Hospice of Homer’s 30-year anniversary at its annual meeting Aug 8. The party will be loaded with entertaining events, food and educational information.The celebration will be held at the hospice office, 265 East Pioneer Ave. Suite 3.  Entrance to the hospice office is at the lower level in the back of the building.
