Homer resident, Mr. Michael Wayne Dubois, 59, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at his home in Homer.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at Peninsula Memorial Chapel &Crematory, 5839 Kenai Spur Hwy – Kenai, Alaska 99611. Chaplain Frank Alioto will be officiating.
Michael was born Dec. 16, 1958 in Berlin, New Hampshire. He went to TSTI School in Amarillo, Texas. He moved to Alaska in 1972 living in Anchorage, Wasilla, Soldotna and most recently Homer. Michael worked all over the State of Alaska for Alaska Petroleum Contractors, ASRC, Houston Contracting, Udelhoven, BP and many other oil field companies. He enjoyed the Alaska Outdoors, boating, fishing, hunting, ice hockey and dog training.
The family wrote, “Michael knew what he was after. It was peace and tranquility only a fisherman would understand. God bless you Mike and Good fishing. Many men go fishing all their lives without ever knowing what they are after.”
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leo Dubois.
He is survived by his mother, Louise Dubois of Soldotna; sister, Karen Dubois of Soldotna; daughter, Mallory Landes of Anchorage and 2 grandchildren, Owen and Hannah Landes both of Anchorage and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in New Hampshire.
