Homer resident, Ms. Michelle Vera David, 45, died Monday, November 19, 2012, at her home in her sleep after a 16 year battle with multiple sclerosis.
No services are being planned at this time. She will be inurned at The Denair Pioneer Cemetery in California.
Ms. David was born Jan. 14, 1967, in Turlock, Calif. She left Alaska soon after she graduated from Homer High School in 1985, where she furthered her education by attending college in San Diego, Calif. In 2006 Michelle moved back to Homer, where she has lived ever since.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard N. David; grandfather, Nimrod David; grandmother, Vera Bigelow Gault and grandmother, Faith M. David.
She is survived by her mother, Charlotte David VanZyle of Turlock; brother, Robert R. David of Yosemite, Calif.; uncles, Roy K. Gault of Coos Bay, Ore., and Ron David of Modesto, Calif., and great-uncle, Robert Backus of Turlock, Calif.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel and Crematory.
