Nominations for Farm Family of the Year are open. The Alaska State Fair established the award in 2000 to honor an Alaska farming family that epitomizes the spirit of the industry and to show appreciation for all the hardworking Alaskans committed to agriculture and aquaculture in the state. The Kenai Peninsula District 4-H Council invites interested performers and vendors to apply to be in the 4-H Summer Solstice Music Festival on June 21 at the Diamond M Ranch in Kenai.
