Alaska State Troopers at 12:47 a.m. went to a disturbance at a home near Mile 15 East End Road. Troopers contacted a victim who said she had been assaulted by a 23-year-old man. The man fled before troopers responded. Troopers got a warrant for the man’s arrest and arrested him on Oct. 27.
Oct. 27
Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers at 3:28 p.m. stopped a 32-year-old Nanwalek woman speeding near Mile 78 Sterling Highway and issued her a citation for speeding and for driving with no valid operator’s license.
Oct. 29
Troopers and Kachemak Emergency Services, Anchor Point Fire and Homer Volunteer Fire Department firefighters went at 9:15 a.m. to a house fire on Diamond Ridge Road. Medics transported an 88-year-old man with life-threatening injuries to South Peninsula Hospital. The $160,000 home was a complete loss. Troopers said an investigation showed the man had tried to start a fire in a wood stove using gasoline.

Troopers at 7:53 p.m. made a traffic stop on the driver of a gray Toyota 4Runner in Anchor Point. Troopers arrested the driver, a 51-year-old Anchor Point woman, for driving under the influence.
Oct. 21
Glennallen Wildlife Troopers charged a 34-year-old Ninilchik man for taking a sublegal moose. The man pleaded guilty and received a $250 fine.
