Nominations are now open for Anchor Point’s 2025 Community Awards, hosted by the Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce.

Previously a longtime Anchor Point tradition, the awards were revived last year after a long hiatus — part of the chamber’s ongoing efforts to revitalize community events in Anchor Point.

Anchor Point residents are invited to nominate community members in the Anchor Point, Nikolaevsk and Happy Valley areas for six award categories: Youth of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Educator/Faculty Member of the Year, Business of the Year and the Golden Deed Award.

Nominations must be submitted by Jan. 19. Voting on nominations by the Anchor Point community and the awards committee will take place from Jan. 20 through Feb. 9.

Winners will be announced and awards will be presented during the 2025 Snow Rondi.
