Young and experienced skaters alike enjoy the ice at the Kevin Bell Arena during opening day on Saturday, Oct. 5. In addition to a free open skate, the arena also hosted a hockey gear swap and stick time, and a free barbecue lunch for attending community members. Attendees were also encouraged to register for a variety of upcoming skating programs, including youth and adult hockey, figure skating and learn-to-skate classes.
