A Homer jury last week found a man guilty of multiple sexual assault felonies.
Allen Gonzalez, 34, on June 14 was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault in the first degree, two counts of sexual assault in the second degree, one count of attempted sexual assault in the second degree, two counts of sexual assault in the third degree, one count of first-degree witness tampering, and one count of unlawful contact, according to a Tuesday press release from the state Department of Law.
The jury heard testimony from nine witnesses, including the victim. The Homer jury deliberated for approximately three-and-half hours before determining their verdict. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 9 and the defendant faces a sentence of 20-99 years on each count of first-degree sexual assault.
