Homer Middle School

Aug. 4, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Homer Middle School will hold an in-person fall registration event on Friday, Aug. 4 for students and families who do not have access to the internet. Families with internet access can complete student enrollment paperwork online via the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Power School forum website at https://kpbsd.org/students-parents/student-registration/. Office staff is available to help any time.

Aug. 9, 9-11 a.m.: Husky Training Day is for all incoming seventh graders and new to HMS eighth graders. It is a fun, optional event for new to HMS students to get to experience with the building.

Aug. 10, 5-7 p.m. at the Middle School: Husky Open House is for everyone! “This is the time to get your schedule, locker assignment (bring your things to put in your locker!) We will have games, info about the school year, and more,” Principal Meghan Redmond said.

School starts Aug. 15. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. with class starting at 9 a.m. Soccer and cross-country practices will start the second day of school. Paperwork and fees must be turned in to attend practice.

Homer High School

The Homer High School office is now open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Online registration is open and all students must register via the KPBSD portal.

Aug. 3: Senior schedule pick-up day, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Aug. 4: Junior schedule pick-up day, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Aug. 7: Sophomore schedule pick-up day, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Aug. 10: 6 p.m., freshman and new student orientation

Aug. 15: First day of 2023-2024 School Year, 9 a.m.-3:50 p.m.
