A caller at 7 a.m. made a crime stoppers report to police. An officer responded to Main Street and arrested a 31-year-old woman for hindering prosecution.
A caller at 5:20 p.m. reported suspicious circumstances at Tamara Street and Mark White Avenue. An officer responded to the area and found it was a civil issue.
June 20
A caller at 2:29 a.m. reported a disturbance on Landings Street. Officers went to the location.
A caller at 8:06 a.m. requested a welfare check on a person at Heath Street and Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the area and found all was OK.
A caller at 2:11 p.m. reported suspicious activity on West Bunnell Avenue. Officers went to the scene but the people involved were gone when they arrived.
Officers at 2:24 p.m. arrested a 55-year-old man on an arrest warrant on Main Street.
A caller at 3:44 p.m. reported that a family member was possibly missing in the Homer area. Officers contacted the person and found all was OK.
A caller at 6:31 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle on the Spit Road. An officer contacted the driver and arrested the 71-year-old man for driving under the influence.

A caller at 10:05 a.m. reported a vehicle collision with a cyclist that had caused injury at Compass Drive and East End Road. Officers and medics went to the scene.
A caller at 11:30 a.m. reported a possible violation of a city ordinance taking place at Mile 4 Spit Road. An officer responded to the location.
A caller at 1:30 p.m. reported suspicious people possible stealing fuel on West Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the location and found all was OK.
Multiple callers around 2:40 p.m. reported that a vehicle had hit a power pole on Heath Street. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 6:09 p.m. requested a welfare check on a family member on Clover Lane. An officer was unable to locate the person.
A business at 6:52 p.m. reported a loose and aggressive dog in the area of Ohlson Lane. Officers advised the animal control office.
A caller at 7:15 p.m. reported a possible boat theft on Freight Dock Road. Officers found out the report was unfounded and that the owner was moving the boat.

A caller at 3:38 a.m. requested assistance with a suicidal woman at South Peninsula Hospital. Officers went to the location, and eventually the patient gained composure and was cooperative with staff.

A person went to the police station at 7:35 p.m. to report that people were vandalizing the park on Ben Walters Lane. An officer went to the scene and issued a no trespass notice to one man.

A caller at 1:42 a.m. reported an unattended death on West Fairview Avenue. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 3:43 a.m. reported an assault on Mattox Road. Officers went to the location and arrested a 29-year-old woman for fourth-degree assault.
A caller at 8:42 a.m. requested a welfare check on Klondike Avenue. An officer went to the area.
An agency at 9:23 a.m. passed on a REDDI report on a vehicle at Mile 172 Sterling Highway. An officer contacted the driver and didn’t note any impairment.

A caller at 12:47 p.m. reported a vehicle collision that caused damage at Kachemak Drive and Ocean Driver Loop. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 1:25 p.m. reported a disturbance at a home on Kachemak Way. Officers went to the scene and arrested a 49-year-old man for domestic violence-related assault and criminal mischief.
A caller at 2:09 p.m. reported a previous issue with a man who was then on the caller’s property on Lakeshore Drive. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 6:10 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle that was driving on Bishop’s Beach. An officer responded to the location.

A caller at 6:32 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle at East Bunnell Avenue and Beluga Place. An officer went to the location and tried to contact the driver. A 24-year-old man was arrested for violating conditions of his release.
A caller at 8:23 a.m. reported people going though trash on Ohlson Lane. An officer went to the area and advised them to only go during business hours.
A caller at 11:11 a.m. reported that smoke from an excavator on Homer Bypass Road was making him ill. He was advised to relocate.
Troopers
May 23
Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 60-year-old Idaho man, a 54-year-old Idaho woman and a 36-year-old Idaho man for failing to obtain registration permits before taking brown bears in Chinitna Bay. Bail to be set by Homer Court.
June 21
Alaska State Troopers at 4 p.m. attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2009 Ford Focus for speeding near Mile 155 Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. The vehicle attempted to elude by turning off the Sterling highway onto Cape Ninilchik Road and eventually pulling into a residence. The vehicle was located unoccupied. The female driver was located and identified as a 31-year-old Anchor Point woman. She was issued a mandatory court citation for failing to stop for law enforcement in the second degree, and also cited for speeding and no insurance.
June 23
Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 60-year-old Wasilla woman for sport fishing and retaining two halibut without her sport fish license in possession in Deep Creek. Bail is set at $210 in the Homer Court.
Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 67-year-old Kenai woman for failure to log two halibut while on a charter trip. Bail is set at $110 in the Homer Court.

Judgments
Jennifer S. Joyner, 31, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail or on monitoring with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had her driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Ashley J. Ingram, 31, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was sentenced to 120 days in jail or on monitoring with 100 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had her driver’s license revoked for one year; and was placed on probation for one year.
Eugene D. Greet, 54, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and third-degree assault. He was sentenced to 12 months time for the DUI with 11 months suspended, and 36 months time for the assault charge with 32 months suspended. He was ordered to pay a fine of $5,000 with $2,000 suspended, a $100 police training surcharge, and a $200 jail surcharge per case with $100 suspended. His license was revoked for one year, and he was placed on probation for three years.
Iris S. Strongheart, 18, pleaded guilty to providing false information. She was sentenced to 30 days with 30 days suspended, fined a $50 police training surcharge, placed on probation for one year and ordered not to consume or possess alcohol for that year.
Criminal Court
Robert Scheetz, 34, fourth-degree assault and fifth-degree criminal mischief. Both were domestic violence related.

Russell A. Schmieder Jr., 49, fourth-degree assault and fifth-degree criminal mischief. Both were domestic violence related.
