Week of Jan. 30 – Feb. 5
Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded to five advanced life support emergencies and three basic life support emergencies, for a total of eight emergency medical service related tone outs.

Jan. 31
At 2:29 p.m., when Homer police conducted a security check at Kharacter’s, a 55-year-old Homer resident was arrested for two counts of violating conditions of release and two counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance and was taken to Homer Jail.
Feb. 3
At 5:19 a.m., Homer police responded to a burglar alarm at a local business.
At 9:28 a.m., Homer police received a report of an after-the-fact assault. It is under investigation.
At 11:25 p.m., a 57-year-old Anchor Point resident was contacted and arrested on an outstanding Alaska State Troopers misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on original charges of disorderly conduct and three counts of violating conditions of release.
Feb. 6
At 12:39 a.m., Homer police contacted and arrested a 39-year-old Homer resident for violating conditions of release.
At 7:45 a.m., Homer police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in a parking lot. No injuries were reported.
At 6:04 p.m., Homer police arrested a 25-year-old Nikolaevsk resident on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of petition to revoke probation.
At 7:28 p.m., Homer police responded to the report of a burglar alarm at a local business.
At 10:36 p.m., Homer police received multiple calls about a male causing a disturbance. Officers responded and arrested a 57-year-old Anchor Point resident on charges of violating conditions of release, disorderly conduct, and attempted first-degree harassment.
Alaska State Troopers
Jan. 30
At 3:33 p.m., Anchor Point Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 44-year-old Soldotna resident near Mile 167 of the Sterling Highway for a moving violation. When investigation revealed that the driver did not have insurance for his vehicle, he was issued a misdemeanor summons for no motor vehicle liability insurance.
Jan. 31
Anchor Point Alaska State Troopers contacted a 60-year-old Anchor Point resident at a residence on Homestead Road in Ninilchik who had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear for arraignment for the original charges of driving while license revoked and improper use of registration/title/plates. He was arrested on the $25 warrant and taken to the Homer Police Department.
At 8:44 p.m., Alaska State Troopers from Anchor Point conducted a traffic stop in Ninilchik for an equipment violation. Investigation determined the driver, a 48-year-old Ninilchik resident, was driving with a suspended license and had been previously convicted of driving while license revoked/suspended/canceled. The driver was issued a misdemeanor summons for driving while license suspended. The passenger, a 48-year-old Ninilchik resident, knew the driver did not have a valid license and still allowed him to drive. The passenger was issued a misdemeanor summons for permitting an unauthorized person to drive.
At 10:01 p.m., Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point conducted a stop near Mile 157 of the Sterling Highway for an equipment violation. Investigation determined that the 29-year-old Anchor Point resident was displaying the incorrect registration for the vehicle and was on conditions of release from a felony case. The driver was issued misdemeanor summonses for misuse of plates and violating conditions of release.
Feb. 2
At 12:01 a.m., Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy Silverado near Rogers Loop and the Sterling Highway. After investigation, the 19-year-old Ninilchik resident driver was arrested for driving under the influence, fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons, and sixth-degree misconduct involving controlled substance and was also issued multiple citations and taken to Homer Jail, where he was remanded, with bail set at his own recognizance.
At 4:14 p.m., Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle near Mile 145 of the Sterling Highway. The driver, a 57-year-old Ninilchik resident, was given a summons for driving with a revoked license and released.
On Feb. 2, Alaska State Troopers observed a vehicle abandoned at a pullout near Mile 142 of the Sterling Highway. After investigation determined that a 57-year-old Anchor Point resident had abandoned the vehicle unlawfully and was on conditions of release for a misdemeanor case, he was issued misdemeanor summons for unlawful abandonment and violating conditions of release.
Feb. 3
Alaska State Troopers observed a 42-year-old Anchor Point resident driving while his license was revoked but were unable to contact him at that time. On Feb. 4 at 7:16 p.m., troopers contacted him and issued him a misdemeanor summons for driving while license revoked with prior convictions.
At 11:32 p.m., Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop in Anchor Point for an equipment violation. After investigation, the driver, a 35-year-old Anchor Point resident was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving while license revoked with a previous conviction.
Feb. 4
At 9:03 p.m., Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point conducted a traffic stop near Mile 157 of the Sterling Highway for moving violations. After investigation, a 31-year-old New Mexico resident was issued a misdemeanor summons for driving while license revoked in the Homer Court.
At 11:24 p.m., Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point received a call from a 62-year-old Ninilchik resident who reported his vehicle stolen. Investigation determined the vehicle was not stolen. Instead, the caller, whose license is currently revoked and who was on conditions of release, had driven his vehicle to an establishment to consume alcohol and had been given a ride home. He was issued a misdemeanor summons for driving while license revoked and violating conditions of release.
