Homer High Senior Leah Dunn has lived in Homer since she was 8.
Her passion for cross-country running has given her a love of the landscape of Homer, and she loves to hike the surrounding area. Her favorite spots include Grace Ridge, Sentinel Ridge, and Lunch Mountain.
Although she enjoys the mountain tops, she loves the water even more. Dunn says she couldn’t live without water, either drinking water or the waters of Kachemak Bay.
“Homer will always inspire me,” she said, “especially the beaches and water.”
In addition to things outside, Dunn is skilled with sewing and a locally recognized painter and potter. Some of her paintings are currently on display at the Grace Ridge Brewery. Her favorite quote is from Bob Ross: “There is nothing wrong with having a tree as a friend.”
