Homer Volunteer Fire Department

Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded to three advanced life support emergencies and six basic life support emergencies, for a total of nine emergency medical services-related tone outs. There was one motor vehicle collision-related call, in addition to two fire-related calls, one being a mutual aid call to Western Emergency Services.

Homer Police Department
Nov. 21
At 3:18 p.m., Homer police received a report of a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) vehicle. An officer contacted the vehicle and driver, a 36-year-old Kasilof resident, who was arrested for driving under the influence and refusal and taken to the Homer Jail.
Nov. 23
At 12:52 a.m., after Homer police responded to a disturbance, a 43-year-old Anchor Point resident was arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and taken to Homer Jail.
Nov. 25
At 6:07 p.m., Homer police received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle collision with damage only and that the driver was not injured.
At 9:04 p.m., a caller reported that a man was trespassing and was wanted to leave. A 45-year-old male was advised of the trespass and was also arrested for violating conditions of release and taken to Homer Jail.
Nov. 27
At 1:56 a.m., a caller reported that a female who had been trespassed from a bar was refusing to leave. A 33-year-old Homer resident was arrested on charges of fourth-degree assault on a police officer, second-degree criminal trespass, and drunk on premises and was taken to the Homer Jail.
At 1:04 p.m., Homer police received a report of a vehicle in the ditch. A 65-year-old Homer resident was contacted, arrested for driving under the influence and refusal, and taken to the Homer Jail.
Alaska State Troopers
Nov. 25
At 2:36 p.m., Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point conducted a traffic stop near Mile 138 Sterling Highway for a seat belt violation. After investigation, a 36-year-old Ninilchik resident was issued a misdemeanor summons for driving while license revoked (with a previous conviction), and the vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
Nov. 26
Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point received a report of a stolen vehicle and a house that was burglarized in the Anchor Point area. Troopers located the vehicle and the suspect near Mile 160 Sterling Highway. Investigation determined that a 46-year-old Anchor Point resident was staying without permission in a house that was damaged and driving the stolen truck. He was arrested for first-degree burglary, first-degree vehicle theft, third-degree criminal mischief, first-degree criminal trespass, driving while license suspended, and violating conditions of release and was taken to the Homer Jail without bail, pending arraignment.
Nov. 28
At about 11:40 a.m., Alaska State Troopers contacted a 41-year-old Seldovia resident at his residence in Seldovia. He was arrested and taken to Homer Jail for an outstanding $750 misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of driving while license revoked and a new charge of violating conditions of release.
Nov. 29
At 9:51 a.m., Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Cape Ninilchik and the Sterling Highway for speeding. After investigation during the stop, the driver, a 17-year-old Anchorage resident was given a summons to appear in court for driving the vehicle in violation of instruction permit and released to a guardian.
