Judith Elaine (Mead) Kukuchka

Sterling resident Judith Elaine (Mead) Kukuchka, 81, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, at home with her family by her side after battling breast cancer.
She will be laid to rest in a private family service at the Cooper Landing Cemetery.
Judy was born March 24, 1941, in Bismarck, North Dakota. She moved to Alaska in 1958, residing in Homer, Anchor Point and Anchorage, and eventually settling in Sterling.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Norum, and her second husband, Carroll Mead.
Judy is survived by her daughters and sons-in law, Penny and Charles Johnston of Soldotna and Tracy and Steve Steffgen of Burleson, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Brenda Mead of Anchorage, Harry and Tammy Mead of Soldotna, and Glen and Grace Mathew of Soldotna; her husband, Albert Kukuchka of Sterling; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
