July 19

A caller at 5:05 p.m. reported a motorhome stuck in the sand on Bishop’s Beach. Police assisted a tow truck operator with removing the motorhome.

A caller at 8:41 p.m. reported a child crying on the side of the road near Mile 169.5 Sterling Highway. The child said her parents left her there. Police reunited the child with her parents.

July 20

A caller at 3:18 p.m. reported an adult in need of assistance at a Landings Street address. Police responded.

A caller at 7:02 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on paddle boarders off the Spit. A mariner in a boat contacted the paddle boarders and determined they were fine and didn’t need any help.

July 21

A caller at 1:54 a.m. reported bicyclists with strobe lights distracted drivers by causing blind spots. Police contacted the bicyclists who agreed to adjust the lights to point more to the ground.

A caller at 12:55 p.m. reported a person selling crafts on the side of the Spit and causing a traffic hazard. Police contacted the vendor and advised the person to move and get an itinerant merchant license.

A person at 8:03 p.m. turned in an Alaska driver’s license found on the Spit.

Police at 10:46 p.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers with a disorderly man being arrested for driving under the influence at Mile 157 Sterling Highway.

July 22

A caller at 12:18 a.m. reported a suspected drunk driver on the Sterling Highway near West Hill Road. Police couldn’t find the suspect.

A person at 1:21 a.m. made a 911 call that drunk women shook his trailer. Police couldn’t find the suspects.

Trooper dispatchers at 2:53 a.m. passed on a 911 call asking police to do a welfare check on a drunk man at a Bunnell Avenue address. Police checked on the man and found all was OK.

A caller at 12:08 p.m. reported receiving a disturbing phone call.

A caller at 5:45 p.m. reported a dead eagle in the road on the Spit. Police notified the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

A caller at 6:55 p.m. asked that a 27-year-old woman be taken into protective custody.

A man at 7:34 p.m. made a 911 call of a woman unconscious at a Fairview Avenue home. Police and EMTs responded and took the woman to South Peninsula Hospital.

A person at 10:27 p.m. made a 911 call of a person making suicidal threats. Police went to a Triton Court home and transported a male to the hospital.

July 23

Several callers at 11:28 a.m. reported a man throwing rocks in the middle of Jenny Way. Police responded and arrested a 68-year-old man for disorderly conduct and violating conditions of release.

Police at 11:50 a.m. contacted a 28-year-old man at a Jenny Way address and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.

Police at 5 p.m. arrested a 34-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant at a Kachemak Drive address.

A caller at 9:32 p.m. reported a red Subaru in Mud Bay off Kachemak Drive. Police later received a report of the driver speeding in the car but could not find the suspect.

July 24

Police at 11:24 a.m. contacted a 31-year-old man and issued him a summons for not having insurance.

A caller at 4:04 p.m. reported an unconscious woman on the Spit. Police and EMTs responded and found the woman was OK.

A person at 11:18 p.m. made a 911 call of a drunk man walking in Pioneer Avenue and banging on cars. Police responded and called a taxi for the man.

July 25

Police at 11:10 a.m. contacted next-of-kin at a Calhoun Court address and notified them of the death of a family member.

A caller at 11:22 a.m. reported a man threatened him with a rock on the Spit. Police responded. The victim did not want to press charges.

A caller at 3:48 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a person weaving in traffic near Mile 168.5 Sterling Highway. Police stopped the suspect driver and did not find signs of impairment.

A caller at 6:49 p.m. made a REDDI complaint of a person weaving in traffic near Mile 168.3 Sterling Highway. Police stopped the suspect driver and did not find signs of impairment.

A caller at 11:04 p.m. made a REDDI complaint of a driver on the Sterling Highway. Police stopped the suspect driver and did not find signs of impairment.

July 26

A caller at 3:30 p.m. made a REDDI complaint of a driver on East Hill Road. Police stopped the suspect driver and did not find signs of impairment.

A caller at 5:05 p.m. reported a woman had been assaulted with mace at an Ocean Drive Loop address. Police responded.

July 27

A caller at 12:52 a.m. reported a man sleeping on a bench near a Ben Walters Lane building. Police told the man to move along.

A person at 1:51 a.m. made a 911 call of a man sleeping on the sidewalk on Lake Street.

A caller at 5:17 a.m. reported a man sleeping on the sidewalk on Lake Street. Police responded.
