Homer Police
March 25
Homer Police at 5:55 p.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint. Police investigated and arrested a 42-year-old man for driving under the influence and breath test refusal. Additionally, they arrested a 74-year-old Homer man for hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence. Both parties were taken to the Homer Jail.
Police at 10:38 p.m. assisted adult probation in arresting a 50-year-old Homer woman. She was taken to the Homer Jail on a probation violation.
March 26
Police at 5:25 a.m. went to a home for a disturbance. They arrested a 77-year-old Homer man for fourth-degree assault and took him to the Homer Jail.
Police at 11:45 a.m. contacted a 70-year-old Homer man and arrested him for violating a domestic violence protective order. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Police at 1:48 p.m. assisted adult probation and arrested a 26-year-old Homer man for a probation violation. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Police at 7:45 p.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint. Police contacted the driver and as a result arrested a 50-year-old Anchorage man for driving under the influence. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Alaska State Troopers
March 25
Alaska State Troopers at 2:19 p.m. made a traffic stop for a seatbelt violation on a 50-year-old Anchor Point man driving on the Old Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Investigation determined the driver had been issued misdemeanor summonses for driving while license suspended, no insurance and misuse of plates. He also was cited for not wearing a seat belt.
March 28
Troopers received a report of sewage being dumped into a stream which feeds into the Anchor River near the North Fork Road. Investigation determined a 47-year-old Anchor Point man allowed gray water and sewage from a camper to be discharged towards a salmon spawning stream. He was issued a misdemeanor summons for interfering with a spawning salmon stream.
