Homer Police
March 10
Homer Police at 7:29 a.m. arrested a 37-year-old Lampasas, Texas person on an outstanding extraditable probation warrant out of Texas.
Police at 10:16 p.m. arrested a 54-year-old Homer man on an outstanding failure to remand warrant.
March 12
Police at 4:32 p.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a vehicle that went into the ditch. Police responded and arrested a 34-year-old Homer man for driving under the influence, fourth- and fifth-degree misconduct involving weapons. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
March 13
Police at 4:15 p.m. received a report of a disturbance at a local business. Police responded and arrested a 56-year-old Homer man for fourth-degree assault, first-degree disorderly conduct, and first-degree criminal trespassing. He was taken to the the Homer Jail.
Alaska State Troopers
March 12
Alaska State Troopers at 4:42 p.m. made a traffic stop on an all-terrain vehicle operating on the roadway near Mile 150 Sterling Highway in a 55 mph zone. The driver was identified as a 65-year-old man.Investigation revealed his license was revoked with multiple convictions of driving on a revoked license in the last 10 years. Troopers issued him a criminal summons for driving on a revoked licenses.
March 13
Troopers at 7:09 a.m. received a report that a 51-year-old Nanwalek woman was unconscious and not breathing. Medical staff from Nanwalek responded and attempted life saving measures. Ultimately the woman was pronounced deceased. Troopers flew to Nanwalek for the investigation. Investigation revealed the woman died from natural causes. Next of Kin was notified. The State Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and released the body to the family.
