Daniel Ray Haunschild, 67, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at Leisure Homestead, Stafford, KS. He was born on Oct. 11, 1954 in Garden City, KS., the son of Henery Don and Mary Etta (Jewell) Haunschild. Daniel served in the U.S. Army and also lived for many years in Homer, Alaska starting multiple businesses and raising his family. Survivors include his sons, Ariel Don Haunschild, Anchorage, AK, Benjamin Aaron Haunschild, Nampa, ID., Philip Haunschild, Cambridge, MA.; daughter, Elizabeth Jean Pierce, Nampa, ID.; brothers, Greg Haunschild, Houston, TX., Dennis Haunschild, Homer, AK.; sisters, Sharon “Susie” K. Lewis, Elkhart, KS., Judy Lee Eidem, Hardin, MT; along with four grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by both of his parents. There will be a private inurnment at the Scott County Cemetery, Scott City, KS. Minnis Chapel, St. John in charge of arrangements.
