Homer Police
Jan. 12
Homer Police at 10:26 a.m. received a report that a 26-year-old Homer man attempted to call an alleged victim in a current case and was charged with first-degree witness tampering and first-degree unlawful contact.
Police at 6:56 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 43-year-old Homer man and arrested him on an outstanding warrant. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Jan. 17
Police at 12:10 p.m. arrested a 32-year-old Homer man on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Alaska State Troopers
Jan. 17
Alaska State Troopers at 1:59 a.m. stopped a driver in a blue Hyundai Tiberon for expired registration Mile .5 Kalifornsky Beach Road. The vehicle slowed, but failed to stop, and continued to travel at approximately 20 mph until reaching Sand Street, where it turned off of Kalifornsky Beach road and subsequently stopped. The driver was identified as a 43-year-old Ninilchik man. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the man for failing to stop for a peace officer in the second degree, driving while license revoked and a probation violation. The passenger was identified as a 40-year-old Ninilchik woman. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the woman for misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fifth degree and violation of her conditions of release. Both the man and the woman were taken to Wildwood Pretrial Facility where they were held without bail pending arraignment.
