Homer Police
Dec. 28
Homer Police at 10:43 p.m. went to the parking lot of a Pioneer Avenue bar for a report of an assault. After interviews the case remains under investigation.
Dec. 30
Police at 1:26 a.m. arrested a 45-year-old Homer man on an outstanding warrant. They also arrested him for driving while license suspended and violating conditions of release. He was taken and to the Homer Jail.
Police at 2:51 p.m. received a report of a shoplifter. The case remains under investigation.
Police at 5:45 p.m. received a report of a vehicle in a ditch with another vehicle attempting to pull it out. Police arrested a 37-year-old Homer man with driving under the influence and fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons. They also charged a 23-year-old Homer man with DUI.
Jan. 1, 2021
Police at 12:18 a.m. arrested a 20-year-old Homer man on an outstanding felony assault warrant.
Police at 11:58 a.m. went to a report of a two-vehicle collision with injuries and entrapment near Mile 2 mile Homer Spit Road. Homer Volunteer Fire Department also responded. Two persons were transported to South Peninsula Hospital.
Jan. 2
Police at 9:46 p.m. arrested a 40-year-old Homer woman with DUI and took her to the Homer Jail.
Police at 10:20 p.m. arrested a 36-year-old Nikolaevsk man on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for in court on original charges of DUI, refusal to submit to a chemical test and no insurance.
Alaska State Troopers
Dec. 31
Alaska State Troopers at 6:29 p.m. stopped a person driving near Mile 169 Sterling Highway for having a headlight out. Troopers issued a summons to the driver, a 24-year-old Nanwalek woman, for not having vehicle insurance and cited her for driving without a valid license.
