Homer Police
Nov. 23
Homer Police at 9:41 p.m. arrested a 38-year-old Homer man for driving under the influence and took him to the Homer Jail.
Nov. 25
Police at 11:48 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 42-year-old Homer woman and arrested her for driving under the influence. She was taken to the Homer Jail,
Nov. 26
Police at 11:54 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 46-year-old Homer man and arrested him for driving while license revoked and violating conditions of release. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Alaska State Troopers
Nov. 21
Alaska State Troopers at 4:30 p.m. stopped a vehicle near Mile 122 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik for an occupant of the vehicle having warrants for her arrest. Troopers arrested a 30-year-old Seward woman on multiple warrants as well as the driver, a 36-year-old Seward man, also on outstanding warrants for his arrest. The man also had a revoked license and was in violation of release conditions in a separate criminal case. The two were were arrested and remanded into WildWood Pretrial.
Nov. 24
At 3:59 p.m., Troopers received a call of a disturbance at a residence on Tovarish Road in Ninilchik. A man reported a 60-year-old Ninilchik woman had assaulted another man. While Troopers were responding, the caller reported the woman had came at him with a knife and he had disarmed her. An investigation led to her being arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail on charges of third-degree assault multiple counts of fourth-degree assault, and fifth-degree criminal mischief.
Nov. 25
Troopers at 6:11 p.m. helped Homer Police search for a missing child in the Homer area. Police and Homer Volunteer Fire Department firefighters started the search. A trooper and her K-9 partner successfully tracked and located the child who was found uninjured.
Troopers at 7:10 p.m. went to a residential fire in the Anchor Point area. Western Emergency Services firefighters and troopers responded to find the home fully engulfed in fire. One occupant was found dead inside while a second resident was found severely injured at a nearby home. The second victim was taken to Seattle for medical treatment due to injuries sustained in the fire. State Fire Marshals are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
Nov. 29
Troopers at about 10:30 p.m. stopped the driver of a a Chevrolet truck on Cache Street in Kasilof for a moving violation. Subsequent investigation found the driver, a 57-year-old Anchor Point man, was driving on a suspended drivers license and without liability motor vehicle insurance. Troopers issued him a summons on those charges.
Nov. 30
Troopers made a motor vehicle stop on a white Ford pickup at Mile 103 Sterling Highway for speeding. Troopers found the driver, a 59-year-old Anchor Point man, was in violation of his conditions of release. He was arrested and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial.
