Laveda was born April 8, 1935 in Rocky Ford, Colorado. She died Sept. 30, 2021 in Homer, Alaska.

Laveda passed away at her home in Homer, Alaska, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by Thomas, her beloved husband of 67 years; her children, Belinda (Chuck) of Homer, Alaska, Michael of Redvale, Colorado, and Tary (Karrie) of Homer, Alaska. Levada loved her seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and enjoyed her time with them.
