Fred P. Weiss

Fred P. Weiss, died of natural causes on May 20, 2018, at the age of 71. He was born in Hollywood, California, on May 23, 1947. After graduating high school, he attended two years of college. Soon after, the U.S. Army became his next mission in life. Fred became a sergeant in the Vietnam war and was decorated with many metals, ribbons and honors. After serving his term, he re-enlisted.
“Fred was a genuine hero, a great, humble gentleman, a man of his word, and loving and caring to everyone. My best friend, my husband and a grandfather. He will be missed,” his wife said.
He is survived by his two brothers, Jim Weiss, and Howard Weiss; his step daughters, Ashlee and Brittany; his grandson, J.J., and his wife DaLee. Rest in Paradise, Sir.
Services and honors are at 2 p.m. July 2, 2018, at the National Cemetery, JBER/Richardson, Acrtic Valley, visitors center (Pavilion), Anchorage, Alaska. Parking will be available on the far right- hand side next to the tree line. All those who knew Fred are welcome to come. A reception will be held at Davis Park in Mountain View, followed by the services. Please bring a dish or refreshments. There will be a 4:20 p.m. toast/roast.
