Paul McBride

Paul McBride, age 62, of Homer, Alaska, was called home on Sept. 18, 2021. His passing took place at the South Peninsula Hospital from complications of COVID-19.
Paul was born May 1, 1959, in the city of Anchorage, Alaska. His early years were spent in Anchorage, but eventually his family moved back to the city of Homer where his parents homesteaded in the years prior to his birth.
Paul went to school and received his diploma from Homer High school as part of the class of 1977, and he went on to train in the field of trucking and HVAC repair, even owning and operating his own HVAC business. Paul spent his last 10 years with the City of Homer in the public works division alongside some of the finest people he had ever worked with.
Paul met his wife Deborah in 1990 and soon after they were married, their marriage spanned 31 loving years. They welcomed their first and only child, Sarah, on Nov. 1, 1994.
Paul was very active in the Homer Independent Baptist Church, where he spent a large part of his last 16 years in fellowship with many people he considered to be family. He spent his life in devout worship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Deborah, his doting daughter Sarah and her husband Kalvin, and his newborn grandson Ky’rin. His niece Angela Pellagrino and her daughters Gillian and Vivian, Lee and Rebekah Burkhardt and their children- Adeline, Abigail, Amanda, and Andrew, as well as many close family members and friends.
