Oct. 30

A probation officer at 10:09 a.m. asked for assistance with a person on probation. Police contacted and arrested the person.

A man at 1:24 p.m. reported possible exploitation of a vulnerable person.

A caller at 3:17 p.m. reported a person threatening to harm himself. Police responded and took the man to South Peninsula Hospital.

A caller at 9:08 p.m. reported a driver in an older 1980s red Toyota driving on the wrong side of Pioneer Avenue and swerving into the oncoming lane. The caller said the driver pulled into a parking lot near a liquor store. Police responded but could not find the suspect.

A caller at 9:30 p.m. reported seeing red flashing lights on the south side of Kachemak Bay. Police called the harbor officer, who said the lights were from radio tower lights and that there were bright lights from boats in the bay. 

A woman at 11:39 p.m. made a 911 call of a verbal dispute with a man who wanted her to leave his Bunnell Avenue home. She said she didn’t want to go back to her home because there was no heat.

Oct. 31

A person at 9:11 a.m. made a 911 call of a domestic dispute at a Main Street home. Police responded.

A caller at 1:17 p.m. reported a man trespassing on private property in the Jenny Way area. Police responded.

Nov. 1

A man at 2:06 p.m. reported being harassed by neighbors over the phone.

A caller at 3:33 p.m. reported a shoplifter caught on video at a Lake Street business.

Nov. 2

A person at 7:56 a.m. made a 911 call of suspicious light emissions coming from an Orion Circle home. Police contacted the home owner and determined the source was a motion sensor light.

Police at 8:33 a.m. removed a dead animal from the road on Pioneer Avenue.

A man at 11:16 a.m. made a 911 call that his a person made threats on his Jenny Way door step. Police responded and separated the parties for the day.

A woman at 11:30 a.m. reported a restraining order violation.

A woman at 2:21 p.m. reported a burglary at a Jenny Way home. Police identified two suspects, a 23-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, and issued a “be on the look out” for the suspects.

A caller at 2:54 p.m. reported a drunk man with a firearm on Ocean Drive. Police responded and determined the complaint was unfounded.

A person at 6:05 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a person driving a car on Ben Walters Lane. Police stopped the suspect and arrested a 53-year-old man for driving under the influence.

Nov. 3

A man at 8:30 a.m. reported theft of property from an East End Road address.

A woman at 2:37 p.m. reported a disturbance between a man and a woman at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded and only saw one suspect who denied a disturbance.

A caller at 5:36 p.m. reported a man had been asked to leave an Ohlson Lane business because of intoxication. 

Nov. 4

A caller at 1:05 a.m. reported loud music at a Kramer Lane home. Police responded and warned the residents about the noise.

A man at 5:59 a.m. reported a man sleeping in the post office lobby. Police responded and arrested the man when he refused to leave. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

A person at 11:40 a.m. asked police assistance with an ongoing property dispute.

A caller at 1:32 p.m. reported seeing a drug transaction at Bishop’s Beach.

Police at 1:36 p.m. stopped a driver in a car for a welfare check. Police arrested a 20-year-old man for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and another person for a probation violation.

A caller at 3:58 p.m. reported a car had been scratched with a key.

A woman at 5:53 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic assault at a Tern View Place address. Police responded. The caller denied an assault and police could not locate the suspect. Police gave the woman a ride to a shelter.

Nov. 5

A person at 8:15 a.m. reported a car had been vandalized.

A woman at 9:50 a.m. turned in a gift card and prepaid debit card found outside the Homer Public Library.

Several people at10:52 a.m. reported a reckless driver on Fairview Avenue. Police stopped the suspect driver and arrested a 46-year-old woman for DUI.

Alaska State Troopers at 3:35 p.m. forwarded a report of a theft inside city limits.

Police at 8:42 p.m. delivered a death notification to a person at a Ben Walters Lane address.

Police at 10:57 p.m. warned a driver for spinning brodies in the Homer High School parking lot.

Nov. 6

A caller at 7:34 a.m. reported possible identity theft over a computer.

A man at 1:07 p.m. reported possible drug information. Police referred the man to troopers.

Police at 2:27 p.m. assisted with a court ordered psychological assessment of a woman. The woman was later taken from South Peninsula Hospital to the police station until she could be taken to another medical facility.

A man at 5:26 p.m. reported the possible sighting of a wanted subject at a Fairview Avenue address. Police responded and arrested a person on an outstanding warrant.

Nov. 7

A caller at 12:12 a.m. reported seeing an unidentifiable object hovering about 300 yards above East End Road and then flying away.

A man at 8:20 a.m. reported someone took his Volkswagen van from the high school parking lot on Nov. 5. The VW was later found at a local business.

Police at 6:41 p.m. searched for a car at the request of an adult probation officer.

A man at 7:05 p.m. reported children jumping out into traffic on Pioneer Avenue.

A man at 9:40 p.m. asked for information on airsoft guns, guns that fire plastic pellets with compressed gas. Police asked the caller if he wanted to report an incident. The man said he would speak to someone else and call back later.

A woman at 11:57 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic dispute.

Police at 11:49 p.m. stopped a 25-year-old man driving a car with no tail lights on Kachemak Drive. Police arrested the man on an outstanding warrant.

Nov. 8

A man at 9:04 a.m. reported someone took about 15 gallons of fuel from his storage tank on Mattox Street.

A man at 9:12 a.m. provided information about a possible future theft.

A woman at 10:48 a.m. reported a possible threat or intimidation.

Police at 9:51 a.m. assisted firefighters with a fire on Kachemak Drive.

A caller at 11:12 a.m. reported a woman refused to leave a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded and told the woman not to return.

Police at 7:16 p.m. assisted troopers with a domestic issue at a Sterling Highway address in the trooper service area.
