Several people at 4:55 p.m. reported hearing a loud blast or fireworks noises at Bishop’s Beach.
A caller at 6:27 p.m. asked for help with a disorderly man at a Pioneer Avenue address who refused to leave.
Police at 11:37 p.m. contacted people previously issued trespass notices from the Pioneer Avenue and Bartlett Street area. The people were told to use the area only during regular business hours.

Police at 2:55 a.m. contacted a 30-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway near Soundview Avenue and arrested him for misuse of plates and not having insurance.
An employee from another agency at 12:06 p.m. asked police to deliver a message to a person. Police could not find the person but contacted a family member and relayed the message.
A caller at 12:57 p.m. reported losing a wallet.
A caller at 1:24 p.m. reported a driver texting and driving on Pioneer Avenue near Heath Street.
A caller at 5:25 p.m. asked for police help in locating a person on probation.
A caller at 9:10 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Bayview Avenue address. Police responded and found all was OK.
Police at 11:01 p.m. contacted a 45-year-old man driving on West Hill Road and arrested him for driving under the influence.

A caller at 8:51 a.m. reported a fuel theft.
A person at 12:20 p.m. reported receiving threatening text messages from a man. Both people live in Anchorage and police advised the complainant to contact the Anchorage Police Department.
A caller at 1:30 p.m. reported a car crash with no injuries on Mountainview Drive. Police responded.
A caller at 4:18 p.m. reported a driver speeding and sliding in a Sterling Highway parking lot.
A caller at 8:57 p.m. reported loud booming noises in the Adams Drive area. Police responded but could not find anything suspicious.
Dec. 24
A caller at 11:50 a.m. reported a man causing a disturbance who would not leave a Lake Street address. Police responded and the man left after talking to officers.
A person at 1 p.m. contacted police at the station to report being harassed. Police advised the person of options.
Police at 3:36 p.m. found an injured bird on Kachemak Drive and contacted the appropriate agency.
Dec. 25
A caller at 5:01 a.m. reported a Herndon Drive neighbor’s door ajar. Police responded and found wind had blown the door open. All was OK.
A person at 7:07 a.m. made a 911 call of a burglary attempt at a Beluga Circle address. Police responded.
A caller at 4:45 p.m. asked for police help with a car stuck on an icy road at a Kachemak Drive address. Police responded. A tow truck company had been contacted. Roads were inaccessible and the people involved arranged other transportation home.
A caller at 4:52 p.m. reported an overdue dinner guest. The caller was concerned the guest had trouble on hazardous roads. The caller contacted police later to say the guest had been found.
A caller at 5:48 p.m. reported drug information.

A caller at 3:07 a.m. reported suspicious people running around a closed business on Pioneer Avenue. Police responded and found the building was secure.
A caller at 5:11 p.m. reported losing a pink iPhone.
A caller at 5:52 p.m. reported a car ran into a building on the Spit.
A caller at 7:13 p.m. reported a drunk man panhandling in a parking lot on Pioneer Avenue.
Dec. 27
A cab driver at 12:25 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a drunk man on Freight Dock Road. Police responded but could not find the person.
A person at 8:11 a.m. made a 911 call reporting icy roads on Bartlett Street.
A caller at 11:11 a.m. reported icy roads on East End Road near Kachemak Drive.
A caller at 12:32 p.m. reported dangerous road conditions on the Sterling Highway near Soundview Avenue. Police called Public Works and were told the area had just been sanded.
A caller at 5:05 p.m. reported a hit-and-run crash on the Spit with the driver headed toward town. Police caught the suspect driver and arrested a 37-year-old man for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
