A caller at 4:35 p.m. reported someone consuming marijuana in public at a park on the Sterling Highway. An officer responded to the location.
A police sergeant at 5:30 p.m. gave a tour of the police station facility to a troop of Cub Scouts.
A caller at 7:42 p.m. reported a person riding their motorcycle in a state park at Pioneer Avenue and the Sterling Highway. Officers went to the location and warned the rider for trespassing.
Officers at 9:32 p.m. got an email regarding illegal camping on Bishop’s Beach near Jenny Way. Officers went to the area and left a notice for campers to vacate the area.
An officer at 9:50 p.m. arrested a 51-year-old woman on Main Street for an outstanding warrant.
A caller at 10:49 p.m. reported a suspicious man on East Pioneer Avenue. Officers went to the location and gave the man a ride to a different area.
A caller at 11:27 p.m. reported a barking dog on Saltwater Drive. An officer went to the area and spoke with the person responsible for the dog.

A caller at 9:36 a.m. reported suspicious activity in the parking lot of a business on the Homer Bypass. Officers made contact with a vehicle in that lot and the people inside it.
A woman at 4:57 p.m. went to the police station and made a report of stalking. An officer advised her of her options.
A caller at 5:39 p.m. reported a vehicle on fire that was outside of the Homer area on McLay Road. Officers went to the scene to assist Alaska State Troopers.
Officers at 7:42 p.m. contacted campers trespassing on private property on Jenny Way.
An officer at 9:43 p.m. served a subpoena for another agency on Rainbow Court.
April 12
A caller at 3:55 p.m. reported a man trespassing on Greatland Street. An officer gave the 24-year-old man a summons for trespassing.
A caller at 4:04 p.m. requested a welfare check on a suicidal person on East Bayview Avenue. An officer contacted the person and found all was OK.
A caller at 5:36 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Vehicle Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle on the Sterling Highway. An officer contacted the driver and didn’t note any impairment.
A caller at 8:40 p.m. requested a welfare check for children. An officer responded.
A caller at 10:40 p.m. reported a vehicle with loud speakers causing a disturbance on Spencer Drive. An officer went to the area.
Officers at 9:48 p.m. contacted a homeless campsite on Jenny Way and impounded all the equipment there.
April 13
An officer at 1:30 p.m. provided traffic control for a disabled vehicle at Lake Street and Ocean Drive.
A caller at 1:49 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle speeding and driving recklessly at Mile 171 Sterling Highway. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
A caller at 2:09 p.m. reported a dog in a vehicle with the windows rolled up at Ramp 8 of the Homer Harbor. Officers advised the Animal Control Office.
A caller at 2:26 p.m. reported minors fighting on Ben Walters Lane. An officer went to the scene and found all was OK.
A man at 2:30 p.m. went to the police station with a report of “false accusations made against him.”
A caller at 5:59 p.m. reported a disturbance and stalking at a local business on the Homer Bypass. An officer arrived on the scene.
A caller at 11:57 p.m. reported harassment at a local business on Ben Walters Lane. Officers responded and arrested one minor for driving under the influence, and issued minor consuming alcohol violations to six others.
April 14
A caller at 3:52 a.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch at West Hill Road and Bell Avenue. Officers went to the scene and arrested the 20-year-old male driver for driving under the influence.
A caller at 9:26 a.m. reported a temporary restraining order violation on East End Road. An officer went to the scene and issued a citation to a 77-year-old man for violating the order.
A caller at 11:45 a.m. reported a possible stalking protective order violation on Ben Walters Lane. An officer responded to the scene.
A caller at 1:10 p.m. reported an injured moose in their yard on Dons Drive. The appropriate agency was notified.
An officer at 3:35 p.m. assisted with an injured bird on Kachemak Drive.
A caller at 5:07 p.m. reported a dispute at Mile 168.5 Sterling Highway. Officers responded to the location.
A caller at 5:50 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the location but was unable to locate the vehicle.
A caller at 8:44 p.m. requested that a man be issued a trespass notice to keep him from a business on East Pioneer Avenue for a year. Officers went to the scene and advised the man that he was barred from the business for a year.
A caller at 9:25 p.m. reported a theft from their property on Lake Street. An officer responded to the scene.

Nathan D. Suydam, 21, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail or on monitoring with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of imprisonment or monitoring; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
