Homer Police
Jan. 5
Homer Police got a report of shoplifters in a business at 1:15 p.m. As a result, a 29-year-old Homer woman and 25-year-old Anchor Point man were both issued summons for fourth-degree theft and released from the scene.
Homer Police got multiple harassing 911 calls starting at 10:20 p.m. with no emergency articulated. Officers went to the scene where the calls were being made and the woman involved refused to answer the door. Following investigation, officers contacted a 38-year-old Homer woman and arrested her for disorderly conduct. She was remanded to the Homer Jail.
Troopers
Dec. 28
At 3:28 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of a debit card theft in Anchor Point. An investigation showed a 32-year-old Anchor Point woman had stolen and used the card. During the investigation search warrants were issued and served on the woman’s residence and vehicle. During the search warrant service, she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and attempted to destroy some of the methamphetamine to keep troopers from being able to collect it. While being arrested, she resisted and was eventually placed into custody. She was remanded into the Homer Jail.
At 3:04 p.m. in Homer, Alaska State Troopers received a report from a man that a former employee was sending harassing texts to him and his family. An investigation showed that a 50-year-old Big Lake man had sent harassing texts to the first man and various family members. The Big Lake man was contacted by Palmer troopers and given a summons to appear and released.
Dec. 29
At about 1:18 p.m., Alaska State Troopers were contacted by the manager of The Warehouse grocery in Anchor Point about a theft. An investigation showed that a 39-year-old Ninilchik man had stolen items from the store on two separate occasions. He was later contacted and given summons to appear.
Jan. 1
At 7:56 p.m., Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle on Bourbon Ave off the Sterling Highway for equipment violations. The driver was identified as the same 39-year-old Ninilchik man from the previous entry, who had a revoked license. The man was also found to be on conditions of release in a previous case. He was given summons to appear for driving with license revoked and violating conditions of release, and released.
Jan. 3
At 12:44 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault which had taken place in Voznesenka. An investigation showed that a 36-year-old Voznesenka man had assaulted a family member. He was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail.
Jan. 6
At 2:39 p.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on East End Road at the intersection with Walters Street. Callers reported the vehicle fled the scene but provided a license plate to the vehicle. An investigation showed that a 30-year-old Razdolna man was driving a vehicle which struck a stand of mailboxes then drove off. The man was given a summons and released.
