The little goblins, ghouls and ghosts of Homer still have plenty of options for Halloween fun this year.
Below are several events happening on or around Halloween in Homer and Anchor Point.

Join in The Story Real Estate 2020 Virtual Costume Contest. It’s easy — just take a photo of your child or your family in their most creative, spooky, or fabulously homemade costumes, and post it to the Story Real Estate Facebook page by midnight on Oct. 31. Story Real Estate will award a $50 gift certificate to Captain’s Toy Chest to three lucky winners. A bonus $50 gift card to Homer Animal Friends will be awarded for the best pet costume, so don’t forget your Fur Baby.
Winners will be announced Tuesday, Nov. 3 on the Story Real Estate Facebook page and on On Top of the World Radio with Chris Story at 1 p.m. on KPEN and KGTL.

907Vets is hosting a Halloween Eve Walk and Costume Contest from 4-5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 on the Homer Spit. Wear a costume and mask, meet at the fishing hole at 3:45-4 p.m. to walk the one-third mile (while socially distancing) to the nice, new pavilion in the Homer Harbor. For those who want to get things started early, there will be a Trunk or Treat event at the Anchor Point Senior Center from 3-4:30 p.m. on Oct. 31 in the parking lot. All are welcome. Decorate your car, bring the kids, and share a scare. Donations of treats are always appreciated. Call 235-7786 for more information.
Then, the 10th Annual Anchor Point Trunk or Treat takes place at the Cheeky Moose from 4:30-6 p.m. Trick out your car and hand out treats to the little (and big) goblins. A prize will be given out for the best tricked out car. Candy and other donations are very much welcome and always used. If you can’t participate, donate to any car or participant.
Finally, there will also be a Trunk or Treat event from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 at Glacierview Baptist Church at 960 East End Road. This is a free event.
