With school back in session for the year, Homer Flex School has returned to recognizing students who best represent its values with the Flex Phoenix Award.
The award recipient for August is junior Clara Stading. The Flex Phoenix Award is given out monthly to the student who best represents the Homer Flex values of respect, ownership, and productivity.
“Junior Clara Stading transferred to Flex at the beginning of this year, and despite the chaos of the pandemic she has easily fit into the Flex family,” wrote school counselor Ingrid Harrald in the award announcement. “Her hard work and leadership embody Flex core values, and provide an excellent model for her peers.”
“Clara advocates when she needs something, and is focused and ready to learn,” Harrald continued. “Clara makes friends easily and is fun to have in class and school. She is creative and talented in music, drama and art. Clara has keen insight and an affable personality — We are glad she has found a place here at Flex.”
