Encarnacion Veronica “Carnie” Ruiz

Born in Woodland, California, Encarnacion Veronica “Carnie” Ruiz was the 15th child to Bernardo Ruiz Ramero and Manuela Silvan Trascasas.

She had four children with John L. Shoup Jr.: John, Shanna, Mark and Veronika, and four beautiful stepdaughters from husband Gerold Ottis (Jerry) Potter: Debra, Pam, Patti and Janice.

“Mom went quietly in her sleep with her family at her side January 10, 2020 in Eagle River, Alaska,” her family said.
