An officer at 10:49 a.m. found a loose dog at West Hill Road and Diamond Ridge Road and took it to the animal shelter.
A caller at 12:21 p.m. reported a minor vehicle collision on private property on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 12:38 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle on the Sterling Highway. An officer responded and contacted the driver.
An agency at 3:28 p.m. requested a welfare check be made on a woman in the area of Main Street. An officer took a report and followed up.
An officer at 6:34 p.m. contacted a driver and a disabled vehicle at East End Road and East Hill Road and assisted the driver get the vehicle out of traffic.
A caller at 9:55 p.m. reported a vehicle collision on the Sterling Highway. Officers went to the scene.
Nov. 20
A woman at 12:15 a.m. went to the police station with a civil issue on East Hill Road. An officer spoke with the woman.
An officer at 1:53 a.m. gave a driver a warning for having expired registration on the Sterling Highway.
An officer at 2:35 p.m. contacted a driver at East End Road and Mariner Drive and gave them a warning for speeding.
A caller at 3:23 p.m. reported unwanted soliciting at an agency on Heath Street. An officer went to the location but wasn’t able to find anyone matching the description.
A caller at 5:16 p.m. requested a welfare check be made on people in a vehicle that had been parked in the business parking lot all day on Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the scene.
An officer at 9:37 p.m. tried to make a traffic stop at Glenview Street and the Sterling Highway and the driver failed to yield to the officer. Alaska State Troopers later caught up with the driver and the 29-year-old man was charged with failing to stop at the direction of an officer.
Nov. 21
A caller at 12:12 a.m. reported a running vehicle with a person asleep behind the wheel on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene and a taxi was called to take the driver home.
An officer at 1:02 a.m. assisted a person on East End Road until medics arrived.
A woman at 9:50 a.m. requested assistance with her husband on Ronda Street. An officer went to the scene to provide a civil standby.
A caller at 10:22 a.m. requested that a welfare check be made on a person of Poppy Circle. An officer contacted the person and found everything was OK.
Officers at noon arrested a wanted person when he came to the police station. The 58-year-old man was remanded on multiple charges.
A caller at 2:52 p.m. reported seeing something unusual in the woods off East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the location and found an abandoned campsite.
A caller at 5 p.m. reported a suspicious circumstance on Bartlett Street. An officer went to the location to take a report.
A caller at 5:25 p.m. reported the theft of a purse at a business on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the scene and took a report. It is under investigation.
A caller at 9:21 p.m. reported a missing service dog on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the area.
A caller at 11:30 p.m. made a REDDI report on a driver on the Sterling Highway. An officer contacted the person and warned them about their driving.
Nov. 22
An officer at 1:49 a.m. contacted a 32-year-old man during a traffic stop on Kachemak Drive and arrested him on an arrest warrant and for resisting arrest and tampering with evidence.
A caller at 9:19 p.m. reported a person banging on their door on Jenny Way. Officers went to the area but didn’t find anyone.
An officer at 9:42 p.m. stopped a driver for speeding at East End Road and East Hill Road and arrested the 38-year-old man for driving under the influence.
Nov. 23
A caller at 12:06 a.m. reported a woman trespassing on property on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer responded.
An officer at 1:50 a.m. stopped a vehicle at East End Road and East Hill Road and arrested the 33-year-old male driver for driving under the influence.
Officers at 4:40 a.m. assisted medics on Ben Walters Lane.
A caller at 6 a.m. reported a woman making threats on Lake Street. Officers went to the scene.
An agency at 11:31 a.m. passed on a REDDI report. An officer contacted the driver at West Hill Road and the Sterling Highway but didn’t note any impairment.
A caller at 1:32 p.m. reported theft and fraud in the Homer area. An officer took a report.
Multiple callers at 4:20 p.m. reported a dog hit by a vehicle at Rogers Loop and the Sterling Highway. An officer and the Animal Control Office were notified.
An officer at 7:56 p.m. warned a driver for speeding on the Sterling Highway.
Nov. 24
A caller at 1:44 a.m. reported a disturbance on Early Spring Street. Officers issued a 31-year-old woman a summons for fourth-degree assault.
A caller at 3:40 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on Kachemak Drive where no one was injured. An officer went to the scene to provide traffic control.
An officer at 7:56 p.m. warned a driver for speeding on Spit Road.
Troopers
Nov. 24
Alaska State Troopers at 7 a.m. responded to a residence near Mile 146 of the Sterling Highway for a suspicious person. Troopers contacted a 37-year-old Soldotna man, and a records check showed the man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for an original charge of harassment and criminal trespass. The man was transported and remanded into the Homer Jail where he was held pending arraignment.
