Storyknife applications open
Applications have opened for the first full year of residencies at the Storyknife Writers Retreat in Homer. Construction started last spring and is nearing completion for the complex of six individual cabins where women writers work and stay and a main house where in the evening they share dinner, talk shop, tell war stories and build a community to sustain them throughout their careers. Food and lodging is provided. The residencies open in April 2020 and are for two- or four-week visits.
As founder Dana Stabenow said, “All they have to do is get to Homer. The rest is on us.”
To apply, applicants must be at least 21-years-old, be woman-identified and apply as individual artists. For more information and guidelines, visit www.storyknife.org or the Call for Entry site at https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=7145. The deadline is Dec. 31.
