Pet of the week
Nadya is an approximately 3-year-old cat. This shy gal was living outside for a long time and came into the shelter extremely pregnant. In fact, she gave birth to five kittens the same night she entered. She spent over a month in foster with her babies and she received some long overdue pampering. Now she is back in the shelter with her kittens and they are all looking for new homes. She will need someone to be patient with her because she is shy, but given the right time and energy she will be a great addition to any quiet home.
To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
